I'm pretty good with my cds but my dad has some shockers. Jaques Lossier. Some guy playing piano. Wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a drummer completely out of place. JUST SHOOT THE BASTARD.

Hmmmm.... I'd say the worst record I ever paid cash for was ELO's Secret Messages. Hoo boy, that was bad.

Most shocking is that Jeff Lynne actually wanted it to be a two-record set, and the record company whittled it down to one.

Second place would probably be Big Country's Steeltown. It wasn't as awful, but it was so poor, so disappointing. That's back when Steve Lillywhite was ruining everybody's sophomore efforts (Big Country, U2, Marshall Crenshaw).

I think it would have to be a Black Grape record...which I picked up due to a Ronald and Nancy Reagan anti-drug dub mixed to be pro dope....damn thats a bad one... ;)

That's bizarre because the day I bought that Alanis album (with gift vouchers when I was 14 or something) it was between that and the Black Grape album. I always regretted my choice...

The worst cd I probably have is TSOL'S Dissapear. I was expecting a WHOLE lot better. I guess older is almost always going to be better.

I'm still kicking myself for picking up that Mooney Suzuki album last year. Complete lapse of judgment.

Also tons of stuff from the Moon Ska record label.

Probably the Bonnie Tyler vinyl that had Total Eclipse of the Heart. :o But I have a lot of embarrassing vinyl. I tell everyone that I paid a dollar used, but it's not always true.

Also the first Sting solo album. I listened to it once or twice. Man, I loved the Police, so that was so sad.

Garbage; I should've bought a Bunnymen album instead.

U2- War

...they were smart to get that Red Rock EP out there as quickly as they did; the sound of War was too thin, and the songs that were good would've been forgotten pretty fast.

The House Martins - London 0 Hull 4.

I guess the $3.99 price tag on it should have told me.

Years ago, I was drunk record shopping on ebay. I did a search for "Money Mark". I saw a 12" I didn't have...and never heard of before. I scored it for less than a dollar. When the record arrived, it was fucking "I Need Money" by Marky Mark. Fuck.

Adam Sandler "Stan and Judy's Kid" - $15.99

just might be the worst comedy cd in creation

Static X "Wisconsin Death Trip" - $17.99

this cd was way overpriced considering how shit it was. this band will only be known for one good song and trying to be different by making horrible industrial/techno music

Granted, it was sub-par and monotonous at time, but it wasn't the "worst." It had its share of gold in between the excessive bass and repetitive beats.

Snoop Dogg - Da game is to be sold not told :(

I "discovered" rap when I was in like year 7/8, and this was the second Snoop album I bought, I was expecting to get more of the quality shown on "Doggystyle" but all I got was some contrived bullshit and its only got worse for Snoop. And he attempted to cover NWA's gangsta gangsta (n)

You sure it's not just the disappointment factor?

The first time I played it, the disappointment factor was high; then I listened to it quite a few times over the next weeks, giving it a chance.

I think it's okay. About a B- in my book. But I knew I wasn't going to listen to it much, so I traded it in toward something else. I think it settles into place between LTI (my least favorite) and IC (my third least favorite, now).

If I were rabid about the Beastie Boys, it would probably have a special place, because it's definitely got its own charm; but, to me, their three masterpieces are the ones worth having.

Tt5B is to the Beastie Boys as Islands is to the Band, I think.

"Tt5B" is to the Beasties as "Presence" is to Zeppelin.

fuck me with the $3 i paid for it. when i went to sell it back to the store, i noticed they had 3 or 4 copies already in stock, so i ended up getting like 50 cents in trade
