I'm having problems mixing my own raps into my songs, they always sound drowned out by the beats and other samples. Is there any particular way I can get around this? How do other people mix vocal tracks?

It could be a number of things. Is the recording of the vocals as good as you can get?
In the mix, are there certain unesscessary frequencies that may be eating up most of the space in the mix i.e lots of sub bass.

You could try some Equalizing, try boosting the vocal frequencies between 2Khz and 5Khz.

If you need any help, give me a shout.

Yeah I've recoreded it as good as I can, its only a really short vocal anyway about 2 seconds long max.

What do you mean by boosting vocal frequenceies between 2Khz and 5Khz, is that possible on Acid Pro, or would I need to use a wave editor like Sound Forge? Thanks

You can use the EQ function in Acid (under "effects")
