does anyone else love using their crock pot? i get a funny cozy feeling when i put a meal together in mine knowing i dont have to screw around making dinner later.
however, i only have a few things i use mine for and am looking for new, creative ideas especially since i will be working out of the home again soon and plan on using it a lot more.

i like to throw chicken breasts in mine (or alternate with ground beef-in small, meatloaf-like loaves) with cream of mushroom soup, potatoes and a vegetable.

i also have been just throwing chicken breasts in there with spaghetti sauce.

of course, there is the pot roast crock pot meal also...but anyway, anyone have any creative suggestions?

i dont have one, but when i have used one, its always been tasty...i would usually toss some meat, potatos, and other diced veggies in there and just let it cook away

I don't have one (but I really oughta get one) but I remember back when I was a kid, mom would always put the stuff in for oatmeal (porridge) the night before so we'd have a nice hot breakfast ready in the morning. she'd make different variations, with stuff like walnuts, cinnamon, apple chunks, nutmeg, bananas, raisins. If you've never had proper slow-cooked oatmeal, you don't know what you're missing.

hmmmmm...by crock pot do you mean some sort of electric appliance/device?
I have this ceramic spanish stew pot thing....which i think is the same idea, slo, long, hot cook....Osso Bucco,I'm thinking you could do that in a "crock pot" or bean and calliante chorizo stew.....soooo good!

i've had one for a year and a half but have only used it once.
i love stuff cooked in the pot, but i never think about it.
