Welcome to the GB side Paul. I saw $Mark when he played Chicago and Milwaukee in 2002. He had 3 guys up from the audience at the Milwaukee show. It was a "drum contest".
Was Alfredo or Walter with him? Did he draw a big crowd?

I'm not sure it was Alfredo or Walter,yeah....it was a full house of about 400 people.
there's no other show like it with Mark....a totally thrilling experience and the support act from Canada ,Josh Martininez was amazing too!

Nope, none of them were there. Mark told me that it was supposed to be a solo thing but then kid koala joined for the tour.
The 2 of them together are awesome.

I think it's the first one though.
Calliope, did you go to england specifically for the gig? (I assume that's where it was)

(y) Cool!
How did it come to happen? Were you invited on stage at the spur of the moment, or did you ask in advance to do it? What's the story?
Congrats, Paul. I look forward to seeing the video and pics.
He asked onstage if there was any drummers and I put my hand up and there I was.
There's pics already in Sure Shots and video stuff will be up later from roman and others (y)

Hey,
Incredible concert, couldn't be better! Bit of improvisation with no rythm section, but they did better than allright :) Money Mark may be one of the coolest people to walk the earth :)
I shot a video and will try to make it available to everyone, I have to make space on my server, in the mean time: here are some pics!!!!

I've got all bout what i've dreamed. I've met Money Mark and my friends from message board.I spoke with Money Mark, drank the beer with Mark and friends, saw his alive performance(he really was before me at arm's length during all the concert) - I 've got a big pleasure at Jazz Cafe in that evening.

That's my small report only for Mark's setlist:
Some more precise definition bout MM's setlist:some songs here was played in another order:
*)Jumbonics (Josh Martinez?) from Vancouver,Canada opened MM's show - 2 rappers with a dj did theirs job very good - it was better, then Talib Kweli opened Beasties concerts during Pageant Tour.
*)Kid Koala pre-opened Mark's show with two his songs: one was Night at Nufonia, another was new stuff....
1) Intro ("Box") (that's song "Intro" from japanese edition of MM's album "MM's Keyboard Repair" 1998,although first time I've heard it on Seattle live bootleg from 1996; Mark's played this song with Moog's apparatus - dinamic and microphone: magnetic fields in da action))
2)Insects Are All Around Us ("MM' Keyboard Repair" 1995; actually Mark started to play this only by his legz, then Kid Koala added his beats and Mark played on clavinet) One of the best song from the evening! (y)
3)Harmonics of Life (Push the Button,1998; song's ,which Mark alltime dedicated earlier to Ray Charles; Mark's played on piano and on harmonic - briliant stuff!)
4)Black Butterfly (actually new Mark's song from 2005,previosly unreleased)
Mark's played on piano and sang a song;it's very same with some John Lennon's songs - but Mark did very splendidly
5)Pretty Pain (MM's Keyboard Repair,1995; first official MM's song, earlier he very often sang this song on his first concerts) Mark's played on guitar, on bass was Tom ,sorry, but i don't remember his surname, but like I understood he like MM's music
6)Nice to Me(Demo?or Demolition?,2004) actually this is song from last new Mark's album; Mark also played on guitar
7)Tomorrow Will Be Like Today (Push the Button,1998)
8)Cry(MM's Keyboard Repair,1995) Outstanding Mark's game on organ!!!
9)Hand in Your Hand(Push the Button,1998(first version of this song called: Cot My Hand In Your Head and was released on MM's Keyboard Repair,1995)
10)3 O'Clock (Demo? Or Demolition?2004)
11)Rock In the Rain (Push the Button,1998) Experimental band of Mark on that song: Mark played on guitar, Kid Koala on keyboards,Tom on bass and PAUL JONES - our friend and comrade from message board - played this song on drums(!)(!)(!) My respect to Paul,he's very audacious man! Girls, U must always to prefer Paul! :D
12)From Beginning to the End ( MM's Keyboard Repair(american edition, which include all songs from Third Version EP 1995) and european release Third Version,1996)
13)Drunken Trumpet (Kid Koala's song, which he played with Mark on some past Mark's concerts)
14)Invitation(MM's Keyboard Repair,1995) actually not showed on setlist, but Mark's played this song on keybords and Kid Koala on his turntables - maybe the best instrumental song during this evening! (y)
15)Never Stop ( MM's Keyboard Repair(american edition, which include all songs from Third Version EP 1995) and Cd single Cry,1995)
16)To All the People (Push the Button,1998)
17)Sometimes You Gotta Make It Alone (MM's Keyboard Repair,1995)
encore
18)Benny and the Jets (Elton John's cover, which Mark ,Biz Markie and Beastie Boys created in 1992(Beastie Boys Anthology,1999) ;Mark told us history about that song and sang small part of song) I gave during Marks narration a Twix(chocolate),cause such stuff was in his story) :)
19)I Don't Play Piano (Push the Button,1998)
second encore on bravo!bis!
20)Mark's Freestyle (like and Intro ,that's "Outro" Mark's played earlier during his first shows ,Mark hummed in da microphone in his mouth and played on the drums)
So pity, that only Alfredo was absent...but Kid Koala made a good beat and support for $Mark!
Great show,folk!!!!!
