SPAM stands for Spiced Ham. I'm pretty sure it's real meat, but they do stuff to it to give it a super-long shelf life and that wonderful flavor it has.

As for where the actual meat of the pig comes from on the pig... I couldn't tell you. It could be the ass, it could be the feet, I really have no idea at all. Good luck figuring that one out, Chachi.

SPAM comes from Austin, MN. I know a woman who is a "spamette" -- meaning that she's a singer in the company's choral group and promotes the sale of SPAM.

You can do marvelous things with SPAM. One year, we sliced it, and used a cookie cutter to make SPAM santas!

I've never actually tasted SPAM, but I do enjoy deviled ham out of little cans because I've been eating it since I was a tot.
