Anyone heard these Rhino reissues yet?

I went to the record store yesterday and the only reish they had was "Faith" (I was intending to get "Pornography" first). I'll have to find the other two.

Anyways, I'm really enjoying this reissue. They've added "Carnage Visitors: The Soundtrack" for the first time on CD, apparently (27-MINUTE LONG instrumental  ).

The bonus rarities disc even has the single version of "Charlotte Sometimes." Can't wait to hear that song! :D

I hope there's plans to do reissues for more Cure albums.

anything new added to Pornography?

still one of my all time favorite Cure albums

You know what would be a killer reissue....Staring at the Sea the singles with THE B-sides (or the flipside of the tape)

They all have a bonus disc of rarities. They're also not contained on the Cure b-sides, rarities and remix box set too! (y)

Yes, "Carnage Visors!" on CD! Whee!

And DS will finally get to hear "Charlotte Sometimes."

It was a stellar track, to be sure. And I didn't even have to get a Cure compilation where I had all the other songs! (y)

Now I really wanna find the "Pornography" and "Seventeen Seconds" reissues. ESPECIALLY "Pornography." I hear this remastered version sounds a lot better than the old CD version. Goodie!

Well, duh. The original Cure releases have pathetic audio quality, to say the least.

Sad, but true.

At least these reissues are righting those wrongs.

I hope they do a "Disintegration" reissue soon.

I've got loads of old Cure-singles. I think the only one I'm missing is Killing an Arab (it became so expensive so soon, and hard to find as well. I have two friends who do have it tho', the original!). They are on vinyl so I don't listen to them that much, so a compilation cd would be nice :)
I saw Carnage Visitors once, they played it first before they came on stage when I saw them in Bristol in '81. Can't remember much of it tho, I was travelling too much seeing loads of bands and sleeping too little on my second UK-tour ;)

Indeed; I might as well own a third copy :p

I got the "Pornography" reissue yesterday.

The bonus disc is filled with a lot of demos and live stuff, plus an "Airlock: The Soundtrack."

Can someone explain to me what the "soundtrack" stuff was all about?

[a little late on the reply.. just joined]

Airlock was the instrumental music that opened the Pornography tour.

It's about time they rerelease Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me and include the tracks they took out so they could fit it all into one CD.

Where, where??

DS, you NEED to get the seventeen seconds re-ish. The original album is killer, worth the price of admission alone. the extras leave something to be desired, but the Cult Hero songs, the live songs, and the home demo of "Another Journey By Train" are all great. (y)

hasen't been released yet, but from what I hear, they're planning on re-issuing all the albums except Staring at the Sea, Mixed Up, Bloodflowers, and the self titled album.

They're remastering most of the older albums. "The Glove" is the one they're doing next... with Steve Severin.

I love The Cure more than anything... though I only have the remastered versions of Three Imaginary Boys and Seventeen Seconds. I have yet to buy the other two. They don't carry them around here, so I have to order them from somewhere. :(
