Apocalyptica - any metalliheads heard their stuff?

anyone else heard of their stuff?

they're a european group. 3 guys that play cello. their first album was a cover of metallica songs called "plays Metallica with 4 cellos" (which i should be buying by next weekend after payday). some awesome stuff. it's cool cause it's 4 of the same instrument but they each play 'drums' and 'vocals' so to speak. (y)

meh not a lot of people would be interested in this except for people who obviously like Metallica.

Just saw them live last night. they are from Finland. I keep telling everyone that the cello has NEVER rocked so hard!(y)

they put on a great show. they rocked hard as fuck. what they do is pretty amazing. sometimes thier hands would be moving so fast...almost vibrating. they hit every note.

they also gave us two encores, which was sweet.

they do cover metalica...but they have a lot of original stuff now too.

there is a single with vocals that I beleive is called "i'm not Jesus" which they performed with the vocalist, but that was the only vocals in the whole show.

I have a DVD of theirs and some disc where they have singing and track _ has Slayer's Dave Lombardo playing the drums. Incredible. I like them after they got past Plastaliica and starting going for theirs

Rasputina are great cellists as well. Not metal at all but if you have a taste for that instrument then check them out. I have "How We Quit the Forest". It's out of print now but a great LP. The Olde Headboard owns you

local radio station interviewed one of the guys the other day. it sounds interesting. im looking forward to checking some of it out.
