My brother has a pair of Specs, the brand is "Arnette" and they are white and there pretty big and goggley, look like Mike D type goggles, I had them on when I went to the Melbourne side show, I saw 2 girls that both had his type of glasses on. No one else though. Just me an the 2 girls.

I can't find any sunglasses that look exactly like Mike D's, they must be custom made or something, but these are pretty rhinestone sunglasses for girls:

Not to mention if i did buy those sunglasses I'd without a doubt loose them in a day, thats the way things work. You buy a pair of really exspensive sunglasses and they break or get lost within the day, but a pair of cheap ones that cost ten bucks or less and you'll never get rid of them :rolleyes:

Here's a post from someone a while back that had all the info on those glasses.

"Well actually here is a little scoop about Mike's CAZAL #607 's w/ custom stones. Carl Zolinni starting making Cazal glasses in 1975. Hence the name "CAZAL." I have one of the first Cazal's ever from 1975．They sucked! CAZAL started to get good around 1978. Then the "Cazzie Craze" hit. In '82. People were dying for these glases much the way people were getting killed in Harlem for there Jordan 1's and 2's in the mid 80's. Optometerist in NYC kept them in the vault and it was real hush hush if you had them. Then the Optometerist made so much in NYC in the 80's on thses things they all retired in Florida in the late 80's. Where many of these glasses acn still be found to date.

Some of my favorite Cazal's were of course the 607. "Like to be like Mike!" The ones Mike wears are the 607-crystal zyl. 2 years ago Cazal rereleased there retro line much like Adidias did. The 607 was at the top of there list. The clear colour Mike wears was not released in the US but only in Europe and Japan. The Japanese have a real hunger for these glasses.

Some other really greats are the 634 and 603 like the 607, the 858 and 856 (the ones MC Hammer rocked still the most fashion forward glasses known to earth), the 903 Targa Porsche, and of course the 951. The 951 was released in '88 and is more common with the younger hip-hop crowd.

There are some big misconceptions about Cazal's. Many people asscociate the 607 with RUN DMC. Not True, while Daryl Mac did wear a few Cazal's he mostly the ULTRA GOLIATH's. These things were huge, I mean like Disney larger than life huge. I have a few original ones lying around here. Also a big misconception was people calling them "Cazzelle". People pronounced them like the Adidas shoe "Gazzelle." Not true. I meet with the president of Cazal once and he said they are "CAZAL." Some poeple think Cazal started the big glasses craze of the late 70's but it was really Neo-style that hit it off with thier "Nautic" line. Also, Ultra Claudia Carlotti and Ultra Versace' lines helped kick off there stardom. Ultra Palm is the US distributor for Cazal and made Versace' big in the late 70's. Persol's were more late 60's with there wrap around line so I won't mention them much.

What I am trying to say is that there are really great vintage glasses out there that scream hip -hop. I have some older Neostyle's that will blow your mind away. So Mike D. If you are reading this I would love to be your glasses stylist.

I have styled a few. Like Dov Charney from American Apparel. For those of you who do not know Dov. He is the nutty mastermind behind AA. He is like a Jewish Garmento with mad style. He is pro US manufacturing, and against sweatshops. He looks like a cross between Ron Jeremy and Terry Richardson. It is funny really becuase in an older Ron Jeremy porn from the 80's, his name stage name is Dov. In any event he rocks big 80's glasses daily.

To the fellow who thinks they are Arnette's on Mike D. I think the are vintage Vuarnet's. Not the jumbo Cazal's but, I'm talking the smaller, square clear ones that Mike D rocks with a grey gradient.

I think Maybe MCA rocks the "Arnette's". Who knows maybe he even bought them at Modells in BKLN?

Let's not forget about the "Gap. Everyone in Leather" incident using sacred cows from India and marching them in to Pakistan by rubbing hot chili's in their eyes and slaughtering them over the border. Then shipping the sacred leather back to India to be made into fine GAP quality leather merchandise. Talk to Christie Hynde of the Pretenders, she's got the tape. She even went to jail over it protesting it.

Well I guess that is another forum but it was just on my mind. Now GAP cleaned up ther record and has some of th highest worker standards in the world. Just think of how many people and animals were exploited before they became one of the best. So by exploiting now they are rich enough to have the highest standards. What a joke capatilism is.
