you suck
Another idiot associates people who don't like the same music as he does with homosexuality. Nice one, moron.
I love it when you know-it-all teenagers, who have no sense of humour mind you, immediately presume that you're being patronized and get all defensive...when I was just tipping you off to a classic album
way to go, champ

I don't feel that at all! How stereotypical! All i was thinking when i typed that out was "You're a moron."
I don't know it all, but neither do you. Come on man, you're calling people with opposite opinions homosexual. Somebody was obviously beat up too much in high school
so, if you don't feel that at all and think it's stereotypical, then why would you reply with such a defensive and hostile post? after all, you made the blind assumption that I associate people who don't like the same music I do with homosexuality. what exactly are you basing that on? have you not realized how loosely some words and terms are thrown around here for a little humour? the fact that I have to spell this out for you is really fuckin silly. but then again, over the last year or so, I've come to expect this with people who weren't around when we could all roll with the punches. and, you have no idea what my opinions are of Joy Division and New Order....but please feel free to continue making assumptions and jumping to conclusions, along with the over-the-internet, armchair pseudo analogies of faceless strangers. besides, it appears that you're (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v348/tehbadness/trial.jpg) the punk ass highschool kid who's been slapped around quite a bit..rosy cheeks and all.
I love the internet and its baseless judgements of other people. It's why I come up here. INTERNETgoulet.
anyway, I've never heard of this music of which you speak. I'm sure I'd like it, so I'll check it out. thanks for the suggestion.

Um.. the thread title? I'm into NO/JD in a pretty big way, but your threads really don't have any room for open discussion, so i made a reference to your arrogant title instead.

Well shit man, i guess i haven't. All your posts sound so angry and threatening, like if we don't do what you say you're gonna cram a pool ball down our throats. How can i possibly take anything you say to be 'light hearted' or 'humourous' when it's more of a threat than a joke? That's where my 'assumptions' come from. Why are you so angry? What have you got against the world? Why do you try and put across such a tough guy image? Somebody has obviously hurt you, maybe it was being rejected by the opposite sex when you hit puberty? Nah, i'm just kidding, i have no evidence for that 'rejection' part, but you really seem full of rage.. whats bothering you? My taste in music?
Oh, and incidentally, i'm not the "punk ass highschool kid" you describe. I'm just a regular 17 year old. Do i look like i'm a punk? Do i go out of my way to be different? Hardly. All i did was disagree with you. Rosy cheeked? Real mature, i guess i'm the only teen with acne.. how embarrasing. :o
I was surpised you dug up a picture and attempted to make fun of my appearance.. there's really not much meat there, anyway. I would've expected more from you, man. I guess i was wrong. By your logic that makes you just as bad as me..
Oh, and out of curiousity, just what are your opinions regarding New Order and Joy Division?

If you're gonna recommend us something, recommend it.
If you call us "homos" while telling us to listen to something, we're just going to ignore it. Way to win us over.
Gotta love how e-thugged out Anasazi is.
no...I barely have the time and patience for open discussion with stupid teenagers. if you think the title of this thread is arrogant, then you take the internet and message boards way too seriously. and if you think I'm rough or perceive I'm rough, due to an internet persona you can't figure out...then you'd be crying a fucking river everyday and be petrified if you were around a few years back when Dusty, Spre and mythago posted more. but yeah, you can theorize, assume and speculate all you want...and therefore perceive that there's something wrong with me, because it's pretty funny how wrong you are. it just demonstrates that you take every word typed on this board to heart.

yeah...in the handful of years they were together, while considering the altering line-ups, the Byrds released some of the most diverse, ground-breaking and important albums

And no I don't perceive you as "rough" (who are you? 50 Cent?) but thanks for the laugh, amigo. (y)

because it's a great form of entertainment when I'm bored as fuck. and no worries, I get enough laughs from your theories concerning pod 'people', how you judge people based on their musical tastes, whenever you toot your own horn and talk about how great you are and how everyone loves you, your weird obsession with James Dean and your general demeanor that leaves some of us convinced that you could be a 14 year-old girl...but nah, we know you love cock

I'm a kick-ass 14 year old girl, that's for sure.
But seriously, that's creepy that you remember all that. Are you stalking me? It could explain why you insist that I'm gay...

Up, Up and Away, in my beautiful ballooooooon! And didn't they do a medley from Hair?
Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. were marvelous. We used to dance to the 5D in dance class when I was a tiny tot. But I mostly remember Marilyn post 5D, when she was on Solid Gold. Solid Gold influenced me and my friends to buy skin tight jeans, plastic metal-looking belts, and shiny gold pumps at the mall. Thanks for jogging my memory!
I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I mostly hear the influence of The Beatles on 80s post-punk underground music. But if you cite some sources for your 5D thesis, I'll be happy to reconsider. :)
P.S. Unless there's another 5D, I'm thinking that your knowledge of them makes your masculinity more suspect than that of the new order fans. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Many of my coolest friends are gay. You should quit fighting it. :D

I remember Marilyn on Solid Gold. I didn't even know she was in the Fifth Dimension!
I also remember her being on an episode of Punky Brewster.
Ah, the 80s. (y) :p

They sure covered a lot of songs.
Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr were both in the 5th Dimension and dating. She apparently recorded the song Wedding Bell Blues because he wouldn't marry her. "Bill, I love you so, I always will. Won’t you marry me, Bill." It was Top 40 for 14 weeks. And Marilyn and Billy got married. :p
Okay, and after this talk of 60s cheese, I think I have to go download Aquarius and Up, Up and Away!
P.S. I'm still thinking he must have meant a different group. Because I just figured out that I was talking about the "5th" Dimension. :)

Yeah, I just noticed that Anasazi mentioned the Byrds, and they have an album called Fifth Dimension. So I guess he was talking about that album and not the band.
Oh well. Aquarius is still freakin sweet.

I never said i was scared, did i? I just meant that by trying to put across your retared tough man persona, nobody can really be fucked with you or your opinions. I don't take every word to heart, i just noticed that you were an(other) politically incorrect moron and decided to point it out. That pissed you off i guess, or did it? You were always pissed off because none of us "JD/NO homos" have ever mentioned this band you're raving about. Boo fucking hoo, don't take our tastes in music too seriously, otherwise next time you see Mary Kate or Tzar your head might explode. And at this point i hardly think i'm merely assuming or speculating..
Anyway, you've obviously got more 'important' things to do. Don't let me stop you.

joy division/new order are pretty homosexual.
but you people for the most part just seem to be experimenting...so yous ok.
Oh dear me... that's even worse than the thread title, Soba.
To think i thought you were alright at one point.. ew.
haha
some of you people are so fucking dumb and take words on a computer screen way too seriously...but yeah, JD were a very important band but they're not really my thing, whereas I find New Order to be not as morbid
anyways, go listen to the Byrds you politically correct mature people
Beasties 4eva, yo

Hey Anasazi, all else aside, care to recommend some tracks for me to try?

Ah, my mistake for reading only his first post. I think the first post of his I ever read was the one I'm quoting in my signature. This was the second. I thought he was trying to be funny. I'm not a fan of the Byrds but I'm a fan of a lot of artists influenced by them. I still don't think this thread makes sense. Oh well.

you could start off with Eight Miles High...you can hear where Sonic Youth has drawn some of their influence from. but you'd be better off just getting the album.
I think the first post of his I ever read was the one I'm quoting in my signature.
yeah, the one you've conveniently rearranged...which is just as lame as changing a quote by a boardmember.

I didn't rearrange anything. I tried to quote the whole thing, but it was too big for a signature, so I had to edit. But I was careful to show exactly where I edited:

Documad is really getting on my fucking nerves. all you had to do was fucking 'zing' damaja or put him on ignore. but oh no. you had to cry and run to the admin like some little wimpy wussy snitch....seriously, don't you have anything better to fucking worry about than some guy posting on an internet message board? it's fucking sad, this isn't a goddamn hippy-love-in fest, or fucking tea time. christ, a lot of the people on here are total losers or freaks and I don't demand any respect from them and I don't give respect either. if you wanna get to know someone, you friggin pm them. if you're so concerned and distraught over some teenager who typed some words on a message board, I highly recommend that take your thumb out of your ass and get the fuck out into the real world....while you're there, you might want to develop a sense of humor and stop being a total flake.
