So far I've got

I think I'll go for I am the resurrection if any stone roses get on the tape at all.. I want to keep it pretentious and borderline unlistenable.

I SmartPlaylisted this and I've got like 200 of 'em, but here's some highlights:

What Does Your Soul Look Like (Part 2) - DJ Shadow - 13:51
Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore - The Mars Volta - 13:09
Calgone - Incubus - 16:03
Eulogy - Tool - 8:28
Paradigm Shift - Liquid Tension Experiment - 8:55

I don't think the B-Boy Bouillabaise should count, because its not really one song, its really several.

Muse- Citizen Erased

yeah, but if you used that it'd be waaay too tempting to continue straight into micro cuts (y)

there's a song called 'the room' by the living end, which is really good and a tune i'd place on any mix tape (specially one for long songs...so try n check it out).

three days by jane's addiction

Man, I love this song! My favorite Janes song by far.

I left my copy of Ritual behind in a share house some years back, and have been cursing myself ever since.

brodie beat me to can, but yeah they're probably the best for prog, in my book.

advance romance is a zappa/beefheart collaboration on bongo fury and one of my favourites.
willie the pimp is another one, which is on hot rats. it's awesome. (y)

have you heard miles davis' in a silent way? the whole album is amazing and each track goes on for ages.

I was so going to make a thread on this topic back in the day but never did
I personally think you should make it songs that are 7 minutes or longer because that seems like the precipice of epic to me

if you dont put "TB sheets" by van morrison on your mix ill fekkin keel you jadger

I meant it...

kyuss "space cadet" is nice and ridiculously long

how long is the clash's "police and thieves"???

6 minutes.

Speaking of long songs, I gotta say I LOVE the full version of "Light My Fire" by The Doors.

Gotta love that 5 minute organ solo! (y)

LCD Soundsystem - Yeah (Crass Mix) 10:16
Pet shop Boys - West End Girls (DJ Hell remix) 8:39
Black Leotard Front - Casual Friday 15:07
Alec Empire - 2641998 29:59
Animal collective - visiting friends 12:36

Eh, it's enough with that Alec Empire track. There was this 64 minute long song I heard abotu once. This jam band did it. It's basically the same riff played over and over for an hour. Something to throw on at a party and see how long it takes everyone to realise the song doesn't end until 64 minutes later.

Wish I could remember what it's called. I'd throw that on a mixtape then put one song on by The Minutemen after that.

inagodagodiva.... i have no idea how to spell it. but it's like half an hour long.

remember when the old lady on the simpsons played it in church and when she finished she died on the organ? haaaaaa! i forget who the band was too.

but the story is that the band couldn't understand what the singer was saying and so they spelled it out the way they heard it, and he was really saying in a garden of evil, or is it in a garden of eden...? anyway, does anyone know what i am talking about?

QOTSA -- I think I lost my headache from Rated R

is this strictly prog cuz there must be dozens of long electronic type music tracks.

If you own or can get a hold of 'EVOL' by Sonic Youth (the second time i've mentioned them in this thread), you can play 'Expressway To Yr Skull' forever, or at least until the vinyl wears out.

The grooves at the end of the song on the vinyl joins together and it can just keep going and going and going.......

the only one i can come up with right now is Dylan's "Desolation Row", 12:26.
