I can't stand Kevin Smith.

I see the attraction if you're a twelve year old, but that's about it.

He's such a tool! A no-talent sellout lucas boot licker. He's gotten so far on nothing. Weed jokes, bad acting, absolutely ridiculous plots and scripts, and lame pop culture references. He recycles everything, wears jokes and gimmicks to annoying shreds, and shamelessly kisses ass to Hollywood. And for what? He has nothing to say about anything. The working class? The movie industry? Relationships and Religion? Nothing.

Kevin Smith and Mick Jagger both need some serious lessons in how to let go.

Wow, bunch of hatas.

Aside from the dumb title ("The Passion of the Clerks"?), I'm excited!

Yeah.

Mr. "I'm through with the View Askew universe forever" Smith announced it right after Jersey Girl tanked.

Clerks? Oh, yeah.

I can't believe people fall all over that smug, mean-spirited, nihilistic crap.

Yeah.

Mr. "I'm through with the View Askew universe forever" Smith announced it right after Jersey Girl tanked.

this is why I hate him. he's so fucking fickle.

if you read early Jersey Girl online updates by him they always were like "This is the greatest movie I've ever made" and "my god, aren't I brilliant?"

then it tanks and he's all:

"boy, jersey sure was a piece of shit, right guys? eh? EH?"

he always denounced his early films like they were red-headed step children when he should have embraced the fact that, unlike most filmmakers, he was a recognizable face.

stick with what works, man.

if clerks 2 fails, which it might cuz his audience is now in there early 30s, then he'll just say it sucked all along and act like he had nothing to do with it.

tool!

u fools, he wanst going to make it but he made a promise to his friend jay mewes, that if he stayed sober for two years he would make another clerks. and jay stayed sober for 2 years so thats why this movie is being made. it has nothing to do with jersey girl sucking.

yeah, I'm sure the fact that he's returning to the one movie that ever earned him real praise or bank has nothing to do with his latest attempt at "growth" failing.

If he's making fun of Mel Gibson a la South Park's The Passion of the Jew, then I'm in. :)

I enjoyed Clerks, but I think a lot had to do with the alcohol and the friends.

Sadly, all of these guys are better at giving interviews than they are at making movies.
