I mean, come on.

Why is there still so much hate for Jane Fonda for the whole Hanoi Jane thing? She's apologized repeatedly, sounds genuinely contrite, and it's almost 40 years later.

This comes up because I heard on the news this morning that some guy who owns a movie theater is refusing to play Monster in Law -- not for aesthetic reasons, but because friends of his were shot down by the sort of anti-aircraft gun by which she posed.

It was a stupid, stupid photo to pose for, and she easily could have made her point in a more savvy way. But, come on. How long will people keep dragging this out?

Makes me wonder for how long Prince Harry will be begrudged the nazi uniform at the party.

Partly because urban legends like this keep going around and around:

She is guilty of being a stupid git...

I'd refuse to play "Monster In-Law" as well. But only because it looks like a lame ass movie.

Ask the POW's in the "Hanoi Hilton". She met with some American POW's and they secretly gave her some SSN #'s to give to officials so that people would know that they were alive. Instead she gave them to the N. Veitnam soldiers and those POW's were severly punished for it.

How about lets get upset with the people who actually were in charge of the policy to begin with. Those who pulled the trigger. "Fog of War" anyone?Being upset with an actress who was bringing the othersides point of view on the war blah blah just shows the weakness of those being upset.

Fucktard.... That's a new one.
That is the first report I've heard about it being false and heard the account many times. Seen it in documentaries. But we all know how true documentaries are i.e. Michael Moore.
