my bf produces music..he uses fruity loops.
i'm trying to learn reason right now b/c i want to get into making my own music to sing over..right now i do vocals for my bf tho
a guy i know swears by protools but i think i'll stick to something more simple to start

I do a lot of screwin' around in Fruity Loops myself. I've had the program for around 6 months, and I'm just starting to get the hang of things now. :o

im on a college course learning this kind of thing. we have nearly finished building an entire new studio on an entire new floor. the studio ids great! we have one brand new 10,000 pound desk, with motorised faders, that a protools desk though, designed for protools use. that in studio 2. in studio onewe have a desk triple that size, which 1st hand is 80,000 but we got 2nd hand for 20,000. instead of a normal pc screen we just got flatscreens on the wall, brand new amps and drumkits for both studio 1 &2's live rooms. each room is completely soundproofed. honestly you cant hear a single thing. ill take some photos and send em in when its done. only 2nd years can use it though, and im about to move to second year :D. ive also just about finished learning how to ues reason2 in my computer music lesson, we did fruity loopsFL4 a couple of weeks ago, also just finisjhed learning cubase at a more intermediate level. heres my preference: protools for recording/mixing. reason for song making (probably because we spent more time learning it than FL4) and cubase i use for making midi songs(i ercently had a make a ringtone assignment) i made instant death. ill post it on a website, you guys can all D/L it. also, ill send in my best reson songs, and a recording i did on protools, and those pics of the studio. anyone her learn how to use reason3/FL5? they came out in middle of the project, so ive only been playing with the time stretch function in FL5.

I play with fruity loops, sometimes I got some ideas but all in all it's ALL bullshit!

I just use the demo versions of it, which means I'm quite a rookie :confused:

I use Ableton Live, making beats with synth and samples and the odd rock song here and there too. Sometimes I rap as well.
