Yup -- the Star Wars soundtrack. (None of that "New Hope" malarky. :D )

I bought it thinking that "soundtrack" meant soundtrack, not musical score. My parents tried to tell me it wasn't going to have all the dialogue and whatnot, but I assured them it would.

We got home and I spun it, and sure enough... just music. I almost cried but pretended to love it anyway.

A year or so later, The Story of Star Wars came out -- a one-record album with an edit of the dialogue and some narration and a fat booklet -- and that satiated that particular need.
