do you like soundgarden?

do you like Rage Against the Machine?

if you answered "no" to either question, chances are you won't dig it.

i love em, check out

"Set it Off" and
"Exploder"
off the debut

and
"Doesn't Remind Me"
off the new record

oh i love RATM with a passion, dude.
i've never heard soundgarden. i think they had a song on Road Rage (old school game), but anywho.. i'll download those songs you laid down and check em out.

but that kinda didn't answer MY question.
should i get their debut album first or the new one?

hmmm
set if off - didn't really do it for me.
exploder - love the music - vocals are the only thing i have beef with.

the dude (chris cornell or whatever) sounds like a mix of Bon Scott (acdc) and the lead vocalist off Pearl Jam. doesn't really do it for me. nothing ''special'' if you will.

the rest of the band i'll follow big time. i like the music from the couple of tracks i listened to - but yeah, vocals doesnt get me hard.

i remember having to get past the idea of rage with a new vocalist. say what you will, the music is pretty much the same, at least on the debut.

once you accept Cornell, it's easy to like. But if you're down with rage more so, get the debut first.

i picked up the new one today, it's aight.

haven't really digested all of it yet but seems like after 3 years they haven't really changed too much. Sometimes it sounds like they we're about to go in a new direction but then they don't.

either way, i dig it and them.
