Could the B-Boys have justified performing their older, more trash talking material like this: Although the message in songs like 'Paul Revere', 'High Plains Drifter' and 'Brass Monkey' may be slightly more negative in comparison to recent material, the happiness it gives the fans would outweigh that. Ie, If it makes people happy to hear that stuff, and the band is comfortable enough to play it, it can't be a bad thing.

Bring back 'Car Thief'!!!

Hmm, so what are you saying? You want them to start singing about girls, guns, drugs, sex, violence, and a bunch of other shit? :D No, it wasn't that bad but they're more mature now and they're married with kids. Well, not Adrock but he's in a commited relationship too, and also more mature......right? But I don't think they'll feel comfortable talking about that, but they still cuss. (y) :D

If the idea is positivity, and the joy given to the fans is a positive thing, then why not?

They've been more than generous to the legion of idiots who can't be trusted with some of their more 'Racy' material. I'm not saying they should believe it, or even completely stay faithful to the original lyrics, but at this point isn't it about time that they start acknowledging that the majority of Beastie Boys fans are intelligent people who love their image-rich older stuff?

They're smart guys, they should know this.

Hmmm, yeah I see your point. So you want their songs to be more creative and imaginable? Kind of like Paul Revere, with the story line and everything? Crawlspace is sort of like that, but you want it to be more suspensful and shocking?

That was High Plains Drifter.

i was amped when they did that in philly. but what was even better was when they broke out Skills to Pay Da Bills a couple months earlier at the Feztival. that break is so dope with the flute and whatnot.

What's f.e.?

for example

What was No Sleep Til Brooklyn like?
Did they keep the guitar in the first verse or was it a complete different beat?

Some member started a visual chart of the setlists early in the Pageant Tour and kept it up for a while.

It's difficult to explain it, but you could see by a graph chart how the setlists were similar and different.

I'll try to find it.

The beasties arent that shallow, they will rap about what they want, hoping their fans shall fallow, not rap about stupid stuff that they are done with now (C'mon, they matured, BIG TIME!) just to make more money!
