I found out my good friend from high school is being sent to Iraq...not only that, he's being sent to the more dangerous part of Iraq, as a semi-driver. He's going to be driving a rigging truck for something or other. His parents aren't very hopeful about his returning safely, since he's going there for a year.

I know some of you are anti-US Army or whatever, and are going to reply and say it's only his damn fault for signing up for the army...but I don't really care right now. It still doesn't mean it doesn't suck ass, knowing that one of my friends who entered the army (and did so thinking he would only be sent out with GOOD reason) is being sent to fight in this bullshit war, in one of the worst war zones. And for what?

A few good reasons that will make you fell better.
1. He isn't a combat soldier, He is a driver.
2. He Isn't on the first battle line.
3. The supply convoy are well guarded, much more than in the beggining of the war (Jesica Lynch case).
4. Most of the souldier who lost theire lives after the war were standing on the gate of bases, check-points, or patrools.
5.Trust me I've served 4 years in the Israel army.
