Live dangerously and make your own marinades. Unless you are in a super super rush.

Word. I just made this marinade this weekend really simple and really good.
Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar
Garlic Paste
Ginger Paste
Chili Powder
Celery Salt
S & P to taste
Fresh and finely chopped basil
It was really really good with Chicken and some veggies.
(I rarely measure anything so I couldn't tell you how much or anything).

Yeah, man. Making marinades is the way to go. Buying marinades is worse than buying powder to make pancake batter.
I have this awesome recipe (somewhere) for this chicken marinade that includes peanut butter. It sounds really odd, but it makes some of the best damn chicken I've ever had in my life. No joke.

Oh, heck yeah; Thai and Vietnamese dishes use peanuts and peanut butter for chicken sauces all the time.
By the way -- Krusteaz makes a really good pancake mix. I swear. It's the blue bag -- the wheat pancake isn't as good.
