I could never get the email thing from here to work. I think I have it configured to let mail come through but when you try to use it, it said that I didn't want mail to get through.

I still get a lot of spam.

No, it's turned off. You're still subscribed to threads which you subscribed to when it was turned on - go to your User CP (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/usercp.php?) to manage those.

If you check out this (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription) page you see a list of the threads you subscribed to. The threads that you posted in while you had the email thing activated might still be set to send you email. You can turn it off in that list.

You have to select the threads (all threads will do so you can click only once instead of for each subscribed thread) and select "no email notification" from the menu.

Alternatively if you never use the subscriptions anyway you can select "delete subscription".

Is that any clearer? :o
