I just saw this on Yahoo. I am not from NYC, but from what I am reading, this is going to piss off a lot of people there. One of the most listened to oldies stations in NYC just switched formats without telling anyone.

And what was the first song they played? "Fight for Your Right"

I thought that was pretty cool.

It's depressing when stuff like this happens.

But the bottom line is: money talks. Some marketing guys have obviously done their homework and decided what's most prosperous for "the company".

=/ I liked that station... and I'm 15.

They had the Beatles hour every morning (y)

And you could listen to cool oldies music that you'd never find out about otherwise.

I'll miss the station.

As for them playing "Fight For Your Right" that's cool.. i guess.
