I think through and through it is an amazing album, possibly better than slanted and enchanted, definitely better than anything else they made.

Pavement. Enough said.

And I do think it (CR,CR) is their best album. I like almost every song on it, but I remember not liking some of the tracks on S & E. Overrated??? WTF man. It must be underrated since so many people have never heard of it. It has to be among the top 5 alt. rock albums of the 90's.

Really? Pavement ist rad! I think the re-release is a pretty package but frustrating and repetitive the 2nd disc really sounds like live Pavement though...but if I had to pick one of the records as being overrated it would have to be "Slanted and Enchanted" and one as being grossly underreated it would be "Wowee Zowee".....and I love every damned record except "Westing" (by Musket and Sextant) but I'm a Pavement head,one of my all time favorite live acts....everyone bought "Face the Truth"??? :cool:
