I'm still moving and sorting my old vinyl, and I just had to turn down the stereo because I wouldn't want even my closest friends to know that I own a Def Leppard record, muchless that I'm rocking out to it. :o Perhaps it's time to put the Neil Young back on?

Is there anything you would be horrified to be caught rocking out to?

Yes, I suppose that would be embarrassing for a guy especially. :)

As a side note: I also have a Housemartins LP with a photo of one "Norman Cook" on the back, and I thought it was a hoot because I didn't know Fatboy Slim played bass (or was a Housemartin).

It's impossible to hear The Carpenters and not sing along. And for some reason, I know all the words. :p

^^ My friends are going to see Hall and Oates this summer, and I was going to go until I found out tickets were $53 before fees. You can only take a joke so far.

They're all still going and as the date approaches I'm getting jealous.

And the one I like best is their worst -- Family Man.

I confessed my Def Leppard vinyl listening embarrassment to my 35 year old male coworker. He said that this past weekend he bought their double best of CD.

Will Smith had some golden moments though...willenium and miami are pretty funk songs in my opinion.

But my most embarassing cd to play loud would have to be one of my rap cds, from my rap obsession circa year 9. Lets just say an NWA song, because it does not suit my situation at all...I mean I'm white, middle class, australian and a pacifist...go figure :D

I was in the car yesterday with my windows rolled down because it's FINALLY warm enough, and I was listening to the ipod on random, with volume blasting. But then I was at a stoplight and there was an old lady idling in the car next to me and I realized that she might not want to hear "I want to fuck you like an animal" and so I fumbled for the ipod to move on to the next track. :o

I am also embarrassed to be playing certain Beastie Boys songs loud when I'm in the car.
