The rock side is really fun and bouncy. 'In Your Honor' is an epic opening, with a very The Who-ish kind of feel. 'No Way Back' should've been the 1st single, as it's insanely catchy and upbeat. 'Hell' is less than 2 minutes, and contains a cool chorus of Dave screaming 'See you in hell!'. 'The Last Song' is pretty much a remake of Breakout from a previous album...except this version is much less shitty. 'DOA' has a really cool opening, and a chorus that'll get stuck in your brain for days.

The accoustic side is surprisingly deep. 'Still' is a very grim and mellow opening about a suicide on the train tracks. 'Another Round' is pretty much a campfire folk tale, and 'Friend of a Friend' is the closest the Foos will ever get to sounding like Nirvana. 'Virginia Moon' is a sweet duet between Dave and Norah Jones (!) that catches you off guard. 'Cold Day in the Sun' is sung by drummer Taylor Hawkins, and it could possibly be the best song on the album. He's got a cool voice that sounds like a combination of Tom Petty and Elvis Costello, making the song sound like a classic 80's rock ballad. And then there's the closer 'Razor', which is the best accoustic song Led Zeppelin never did.

IYH is a blast to listen to, and it's got a lot more depth than most other mainstream albums out there right now. It's not a masterpiece, but when something's this entertaning, you really don't seem to care.
