You should put the word "sing" in quotations, because they don't actually sing. It's a lip-synched performance. I wouldn't even call it a performance. A better description is this: The Beastie Boys do calisthenics and roll around while FFYR is played. For pizzazz, they throw their microphones in the air and catch them. The crowning moment of the performance, however, comes when Yauch tries to lift and swing a scantily clad dancer in the air. It looks awkward because she's larger than he is.
:D
This reminds me of their performance of FFYR in some Japanese program.
Yauch with the sausage.....

I had no interest in this performance until Miramanee's review. Now I simply must see it.
American Bandstand was a complete joke. I don't think anyone ever sang live.

^^ I'm older than you and I'll admit I watched the Bandstand! Before MTV it was the only way to see bands move about and talk. And cool people were on there sometimes -- like PRINCE!
I had quit watching Bandstand by the time Beasties were on though. :(

M's review sounds like it's quite the performance to be seen! Especially the scantily clad dancer part. Heh heh.
I used to catch Solid Gold whenever I could. :o Cut me some slack, I only had 3 television channels at the time. CBS, ABC and NBC. (n)

Hee hee hee! They couldn't find a smaller girl? Adrock's goofy faces sure started early. It looks hilarious (and maybe a little painful to watch today?)
Thanks so much for that taste of the show!

I already gave that link to djc1980 but maybe somebody else want to watch it here (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=17APMH17) (you have to wait 40 seconds and then press download button - it shouldn't take long about 5 minutes but it depends on your connection speed and the time, so if it takes longer for you, try later)
