I guess one saving grace about cell phones is that people dont wear watches as much anymore. Sadly, I had to sit next to a guy on the train who was total watch drama. Everytime he would check his watch, he would flail out his arm like an aacctttoorrrrr. Woosssh as his arm went out and snap as it came to the proper angle for his vision. I suprised he wasn't wearing a cape. It was pretty old school.

I don't wear my watch anymore. Who cares what time it is.

haha. A guy at work has one on a chain and he tosses it from left hand to right hand a coupl'a times before anouncing what time it is.

Nothing makes me happier than wearing a beautiful watch.

I am prone to repeated and exaggerated time-checking movements when I am waiting for someone who is late, but otherwise I seem to keep it in check.

I've always felt really awkward when I tried to wear a watch....just not natural for me. If I need to know what time it is, I just ask someone :)

Oh, I've always wanted a watch on a chain. That, and an old flask.

i was so happy when i first got a cell phone, because this meant i wouldn't have to wear a watch anymore. i'm kind of compulsive about knowing what time it is, and i hate wearing watches because i'm a spazz and always scratch the face up or get it ripped off somehow. now i'm just scratching up the face of my cell phone and dropping it all the time and the battery is held on my scotch tape. :(

It's not very long though, but I'll try to watch it someday.

i had this watch that i wore even when the battery died. i just felt completely awkward without it on. i started to feel like a douchebag so i eventually took it off. i wore it dead for like 6 months.

I have a phone but I still wear a watch 24/7.

I sport the inside wrist look, 80's style. Always have, always will. (y)

ever notice how nerds always wear something like this:

Dragonball Z shirt about 4 sizes too big
denim shorts that are really long
Airwalks/Vans/other brand of inexpensive yet huge skate shoes
GIANT nerdy watch, either digital (gotta have the calculator) or analog

Boy... I haven't worn a watch since I was in high school.

I've got a really good innate sense of time, so I don't really need one. 99% of the time, I don't even set an alarm before I go to bed; this old bod just knows when to get up.

I bet it was either a new watch or some sort of status symbol watch.

I remember going to a party at these people's home once, and as the guy gave me the tour, he kept pointing out manufacturers of their clocks or furniture or whatever, then watching me carefully for a reaction. I mean, yeah -- nice stuff -- but why not just leave the price tags on if that's what you're after?

the best watch i ever had was a gift from my brother when he first went to China a few years back. it was red and had Mao (mousey tongue) smiling and a little spring movement that waved his arm back and forth. it was awesome. i even stitched a black fabric/pink velcro wristband for it because it was too rad to be on some ugly leather band. but it kept breaking. i spent a good 25 bucks getting it fixed, twice, and i know my brother didn't spend more than about $1.50 buying it. i wish it still worked.

i love my watches. can't live without them. one of them gets constant wear because i need to get a battery for the other, and the battery can only be replaced at a jewelers. fucking gucci. the one i wear daily belonged to toby, but when he screwed me out of something i was supposed to have per our divorce decree, i decided to keep the watch, which i'd been wearing for over a year anyway.

random fact: in the 80s, there was a period of time where i wore two swatch watches on one wrist. : /

I have a pretty sweet watch I got from mrs. marsdaddy when we were dating. I also have a watch I got as a college graduation gift. I only wear them for work.

I usually check my cell phone for the time, whether I have on a watch or not.

A friend and I have been known to pose as models and look at our watch at random moments. It's hilarious but you have to be there.

My best watch ever was a Snoopy playing tennis watch. His arms were the hands on the clock, the ball was the second hand. And Woodstock was involved somehow. I wish I still have that. I've been looking for a good watch for Mookie -- he's learning to tell time -- but so far, no luck.
