I heard people say 'Hip Hop' was an ill track and had a great beat; it fucking sucked.

Slow ass rhymes, poor MCing and a worthless beat.

Dead Prez is the most overated group there is.

Alright, just listened to it again.

The beat is still wack as fuck, though the first verse is decent. The second verse is boring though.

Overall, 4 out of 10.

Nothing special at all.

The idea behind the song is played out and the group sounds to much like Binary Star.

Dude, you said it right there; you made a reference to "soul". That's just it. See, that nerd shit you listen to from time to time completely lacks any, in my opinion. Whereas the appeal of something like say 'Hip Hop' can only really be attributed to the actual 'soul' it does infact emote. I agree, that it's really simple in many ways, but that's part of its appeal and its charm.

Binary Star? Hell no.

Dead Prez are pretty whatever, but that song is classic.

They got this one line thats like "We dont call it welfare we call it reparations"....I think if I was black that would offend me.

They're corny as shit. I think Ice Cube said it best with "motherfuckers that say they too black/put em overseas they be begging to come back"
