Ironic I just changed my avatar and this thread pops up.
He can't be that homophobic. He does commercials for HIV and AIDS and all that. And yeah, I know, those aren't limited to just gay people. Just pointing it out.

De La Soul, one of my favorite hip hop groups, and also "Socially Conscious", has alot of anti-gay lyrics. So does another great and Conscious hip hop act......Goodie Mob.
I think alot of people think disliking homosexuals, and being homophobic are the same thing. They're not...

One is dislike, one is fear.
Dislike can come from fear and fear from dislike, but they are quite separate.

First of all He is socially conscious.
Second, you put it out of the contex.

Cool. That's quite an accomplishment.
That's the way I see it though. Feel free to have a different opinion. I'll even let you have that opinion without calling you retarded, but that's just the kind of guy I am.
Homophobia (from Greek homos, same and fobos, fear) literally means "fear of the same," however the term "homo" as a reference to homosexuals was used in the creation of the word. There are several different interpretations. The two main associated concepts are:
1. Prejudice against homosexuals or LGBT people in general.
2. Fear of homosexuality (and possibly the associated avoidance of exposure to homosexuals or related materials and situations).

First of all, you're an ass.
Second, I thought the line was funny, so I decided to write it. While we were talking about homosexuals, I thought it would be appropriate. I know it's out of context, but I don't give a goddamn.

As I see it fear and prejudice aren't the same as dislike.
Fine line though, and no big deal either so meh.
