Hey, how many of you guys are in bands/rap groups?
I'm starting a Hip hop group dunno what to call it but my MC name is gonna be MC Hop-hip. :cool:

My friends and I do some hip hop. I DJ, rhyme and freestyle but there’s one problem. I'm not much of a producer. I've made some good beats but after about 8 years you would think I'd be a little bit better than I am. But I do get a lot more practice on the mic and turntables than I do on the drum machine. Keep practicing I guess.

Back when I was about 15 (10 years ago! :eek: ) I used to spend a lot of time making music on my computer. Most of it is crap, but there were some that are ok I guess. i keep getting asked to be a guitarist in a few bands ( 2-3 ), i'm really not in the mood to do shit with other people right now, i like the blues. I tell them i'm a solo act called " Incredibly Evan " :D

yeah i'm in a group called wycked wyche, we've done about 30 songs, made the beats ourselves and i dj a bit in it. There's like 6 of us with mc names like phat pat, dtv, lexa, sensei, plague of one, atk and big h. i'm phat pat

most of the time we just get drunk or bent or both and lay down a track and it comes out well :D

i was in a hardcore punk band a few years ago. we were called "sabotage" (nothing to do with the beastie boys) we recorded and album, did a few gigs then broke up pretty much.

i download a bunch of samples, strung them together in under a week, tossed in beats from a drum machine of the lowest possible fi and called it "music"

Did you ever see the mighty mighty bosstones perform live? They have a guy that just jumps around for the entire gig, damn that looks like hard work!

I made a bunch of songs in Pro Tools when I was learning how to use it. My personal favourites were songs called 'Pyramids are Cool if you like Pyramids' and 'Emilio Estevez and Dolph Lundgren Have Brunch at Denny's'. One day my masterpieces will be put on CD.

I'm going to start a band with a friend of mine, but we're gonna try to move to England before we really do anything because they're aren't a whole hell of a lot of people we could play with here. There is actually a pretty kick ass underground music scene in Tulsa, but the predominantly male musicians just kind of laugh at us ladies. :mad:

Right now we're just trying to write a bunch of songs so that we can sell them and hopefully make enough money to at least move over there. It's not going as well as we'd like though, because I'm supposed to write all the music, and it's been awhile since I've played guitar. Hopefully I'll get used to it again soon. (y)
