This song is better than half of TT5Bs. Especially the funness of the samples at the start. (y)
Promising for the next album. (y)

I don't understand how it sounds so different to TT5B, and still came from those sessions?
I hope they release the other 11 songs.

Yes...I wonder if it was shelved around the HN days and they decided to play around with it for TT5B?

I was disappointed with this song, as I was with most of the b-sides. I just felt that this song was a weak attempt at being creative compared to B-sides from the Ill Communication and Check Your Head days.

how do you think it is in comparison to the rest of tt5b?

i really dont like the era of cyr an ic, just too rough sometimes, This Government Needs a Tuneup (i think thats the name) has a good sound though, sorta CYR but with a more clean sound.

I think that Now Get Busy should've ended the album as it did on some releases. Overall TT5B is alright. I don't hate on it like some people. I can appreciate it for what it is, but I think what disappointed me so much was that it was so easy to learn and pick up on things, whereas the old albums always had surprises months and years after listening that I had not previously picked up on. It was not complex enough for me to archive it as a 'classic'. I hadn't listened to it in months, then recently put it in the cd changer and was ready to move to a different cd after it was over. All other Beasties albums, when I haven't listened to them for awhile, stay in heavy rotation a few times in a row, instead of one listen and then I'm done. I hope I answered your question. :)

Picture this: If ANY song from TT5B appeared on any other album it would be one of the best songs on that album. The problem is that it's a whole album of sick rap songs so people tend to lump them all together like its one long song. It's an overload! Now that's pretty ironic. 15 of their best songs put together as an album and the album isn't recieved as well as it should.
If they recorded a few instrumentals and punk songs with some skits or whatever, and mixed them with these 15 songs, everyone would be saying how this is their best album ever, I am sure of it.

Oh, I love Brr Stick'Em. The beats and rhymes are phatter than a lot of places on TT5B, I totally agree. It's probably the illest bassline the Beastie Boys have pulled off since The Scenario.

I still don't get why this song was better than everything on TT5B.
The thread where Yauch posted the lyrics is gone. :(
Thank goodness for Beastiemania. Again.

I love this track, t'is amusing. I like the "danger Will Robinson" bit and also the "Robotron, Gorf and Galaga" bit. :) They should've included it on TT5B.

I love Brr Stick 'Em...that guy who says the whole chorus part(brr stick em ha ha ha stick em) sounds like he's going insane or something to that effect. Its awesome.

Gr8 track.....
the chorus is so catchy, I cant help saying it now and again.
I also like the Yauch line.... "'Cause I'm a cyborg created to emcee, gonna change our name to the disco three."
Nice :D :D

it's a good track.
TT5B is a good album.
i'm glad it's not on the record, cos that means one of the other tunes would have to go, and for some reason i don't think it'd quite fit.

I like the song, but it's not better than anything on TT5B. It's definitely a b-side.
(y)
The lyrics are gone?! Grrr...
That thread was interesting. I don't understand why good and relevant stuff like that gets trimmed from the board when there's so much crap that could be deleted instead.
They're obviously not sorted on interest rate I guess! I find the most interesting threads...and one's which interestingly enough yauch posts in, are always real long. So maybe getting rid of threads which go on for years helps...
I know what you mean though, and if I'd put alot of work into a thread (like you and the lyrics one) it'd be a shame to see it just go. Oh well...
But I agree with ya points about the actual song, when it comes to it even without breaking the song down in technicalities and so on I simply like everything else on TT5B, and TT5B as an album, better.
