anything you want, but mine is
honey
butter
bran/fiber/oats
nuts
sometimes some seeds of some sort
spice (allspice, pumpkin spice, cinnamon)
chopped raisins/figs
Whatever you want.
The best granola I've ever had that I didn't make myself was from this excellent bakery in Berkeley, California. I'd get to California and that would be the first thing I'd do--go there to get a HUGE bowl of their granola & milk.

Oh yeah, although if you do, you have to use it up pretty quickly because you're probably not going to add any preservatives to it. :)
If you google granola recipe, you'll see what I mean. Once you look through a few of them, you'll see that you can pretty much wing it with success. It's one of the few things I'll use my stovetop for. I rarely use my oven.*
Here's one of the google results that appeared above the fold:
3 1/2 cups oats
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup wheat germ (if desired)
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped mixed dried fruit
1/2 cup chopped nuts (if desired)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a 15 x 10-inch baking pan, combine all ingredients except fruit; mix well, spreading evenly. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown, stirring after 10 minutes. Cool completely.
Stir in fruit.
* edit: I had an old recipe for granola that was for the stovetop. It required a lot of stirring but it was good. You can find them in google too or I can look for mine at home if you want...

You might find lots of other ones on there that are better. I don't particularly like using brown sugar, for example, but if you don't mind it, then that's fine.
I hope you like it! I never have problems using mine up before it goes off. :D

Love granola...was so disappointed to find out it's fattening (n) eat it anyway though. I have this fresh granola made by a whole foods store....has dried cranberries in it instead of rasins....YUM

I know--when you buy the stuff in stores (some of which is actually good), they label usually says something like, "not a low calorie food" and then you look at the calories and fall over from the count.
That's why it's maybe better to make it yourself, because you can eliminate stuff that you don't want or need. (For example, if I'm eating granola in the afternoon, I don't want it to have raisins or figs in it but raisins are fine in the morning.)
