Big things are happening in government. Makes you proud that the people in power are really looking at whats best for the US.

One house rep said that the people who stood on top of the world trade center would say "pass this amendment." Classless.

Yeah, we've really got to put an end to all this rampant flag-burning. It's a really pressing issue. In fact, I'd say, there's nothing that the people of America should be more worried about than this. After all, what could possibly be more important?

I was underneath the WTC and I wasn't sayin "pass this amendment"

GMA']I'll burn a flag if this passes.

Metaphorically, I take it, as I don't think you have the inclination or drive to actually do this.

Although, now *I* have said this, I wouldn't put it past you to get one of those tiny paper novelty flags that get given out at parades, put a match to it, and revel in your decadence.

Did anyone see that one Daily Show this week where Rob Cordry was holding a mini American flag and a sparkler, and the sparkler accidentally caught the American flag on fire and so he started stomping it out? Then he went out in NYC dressed up as Hitler to see if the accusations of foreigners being treated badly were actually true.

I think that this summarizes my point of view:

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., whose district includes the site of the former World Trade Center, accused Republicans of exploiting the [WTC]attacks.

"If the flag needs protection at all," he said, "it needs protection from members of Congress who value the symbol more than the freedoms that the flag represents."

If this passes, then the all those folks in the Middle East and China and such will have one more freedom over the Americans. Kind of odd, hmm?

(lb) back-up business idea (lb) Cover tracks with an abestos/kevlar laden USA flag.

When burning flags is outlawed, only outlaws will burn flags.

Must keep eye on profit, follow my leaders.
