Some of the cities have really shitty lineups. But, some of them like Berlin do not.

Thank you RobMoney for this complete list. (y) (y) (y)

We'll be at the Philly show of course,
Hopefully they will be broadcasting other cities as well on some video screens
I really want to see some of the London acts.
I'm only looking foward to seeing Linkin Park & Jay Z
Hopefully they'll be getting together to do some of their Mash-Ups (y)

Bon Jovi and Stevie Wonder could be fun I guess, I'm gonna go with an open mind and just enjoy the moment, even though the majority of the acts are not my taste.

I like the way the venues are all listed by town, except the one in Scotland, which is just listed as "Scotland", as if Scotland is a really tiny place without any towns.

That's how I remember Scotland.

I think they would be two of the better ones. I'm no Bon Jovi fan, but they can probably rock a stadium. (I still think they need to change the lyric re "I've seen a million faces, and I've rocked them all" because he's clearly rocked at least 2 million faces by now.)

Do you know yet how those of us at home will watch?

And I got my Stones tickets for September. I figured that even if they're not in top form, I owe it to 17-25 year old Documad. And I recently screwed over 4th grade Documad by failing to see a platypus while in Australia.

That's just how I listed them, no offense meant to the Scotch

I believe it's in Edinburgh?

Oh believe me, I am actually a Bon Jovi fan from way back. They are local and will get a huge response from the crowd, they're Philly royalty (y)

Check the links for more info, but I believe MTV is broadcasting in America. Which means MTV, MTV2, and VH1.

Where are you gonna be seeing them? And how did you get the tics?
Don't be worried about them being in top form, I guarentee Mick will make your 17-25 Documad tired just watching him work a stage. The guy has the energy of a young kid (y)

Rolling Stones in St. Paul on 9/6/05, tickets via ebay. I opted for good, but not great seats. I searched compulsively to get what I think is a reasonable deal.

Sorry, my computer doesn't like the first link you posted. :)

Well pointed out Freebasser. So we can forgive you for calling us Scotch instead of Scottish. ;)

A good idea for anyone going to the Philly show is to take SEPTA (our public transportation org.). They are selling an $8.00 pass for the day.

I just heard they are adding the Red Square in Moscow the the list of venues.
No word yet as to who will be appearing there.

Why isn't anyone as excited about this event as I am? It's going to be a historical musical event.

You've got The Kaiser Chiefs too! They're a bit twee, but are a mighty fine live act.

Has it been getting much critisism in the US? Over here it's been nailed by almost everyone.

WHAT??? WHY?
The lack of African acts mainly; all the papers/BBC etc. have been giving a real hard time.

Parkey,

they have planned an event called "Africa Calling" in Cornwall England, EDEN Project arena.

It will feature only African acts. This was planned in direct response to Peter Gabriel's protest of the lack of African artists.

The acts are as follows:
Akim El Sikameya
Angelique Kidjo
Ayub Ogada
Daara J
Maryam Mursal
Salif Keita
Shikisha
Tinariwen
Thomas Mapfumo & the Blacks Unlimited

I'm just very surprised by this news because I thought the issue was adressed a while back.

I agree with you, but that was only announced after the pressure was seen to have been applied and has led to accusations of putting all the African artists away from the main audiences.

At Glastonbury this weekend, Coldplay announced that those who were giving it all grief were all 'knobheads'...

By the way, Pet Shop Boys are headlining in Moscow.
