I'm talking real sims such as GTR and Grand Prix Legends etc.

I've been into sims of all kinds since I was a wee little boy, but now lately it's been a passion of mine.

Any like-minded?

I was hardcore into Gran Turismo one. I even learnt all the gear ratios and shit and read all the guides and stuff off the net. But none of it mattered if you just got the mitsubishi gto twin turbo and modded it till it was 920 odd horse power (y)

I enjoy playing all of the Turismos but they've never been real sims.

A good blend between arcade and sim though and very enjoyable.

I do prefer the arcade racers, but I did have some game that i think was called grand prix legends that came out about 6 years ago that was ok.

GPLegends is still one of the most authentic racers out there, which I find amazing.

Quite possibly the most difficult game I've played.

i just bought gtr and it's so difficult without all the driveing aids. you have to give the game all your attention(something i just can't do). one mistake and your in the sand and you're screwed.

I'm waiting to snatch a copy of Forza motorsports. From what I've heard, it's better than GTR..

That's what's so fun with it IMO. I've gotten decent at it, but I still go of track every now and then. :)

Well, you heard wrong. Because they're really two different kinds of games.

GTR is a fullblooded sim with superior driving-physics and sound while Forza, like Gran Turismo 4, is a semi-sim, combining the best of two worlds so to speak.

So it's rather pointless to say which is better. It depends on your preference. :)

Doesn't it have that?

Anyways, it's made with a very limited engine.

if it does have surround sound i haven't seen an option for it or even noticed it ingame

Do you have a suround-sound system?

Well maybe it's got some kind of built-in sorround detector?

Anyways, doesn't really matter.
