I've noticed them more and more of late. They seem a bit odd. What do you guys think about them? No, I'm not buying any...just interested in other opinions. I like hats so...

they're for cliche scene art boys that think they're being revolutionary

Leave 'em to the cadets.

I'd like to see a resurrection of other military style hats as fashion pieces. I think it would be quite relevant in a subtle way. They would be made even cooler by the simple fact that they are hard to find and cannot be authentically reproduced. I'm talking about WW2 captain's hats from whatever country you want, US civil war confederate army hats...and so on.

I've looked into buying some old Nazi SS officer caps in the past.

I seem to have a fascination for the 1910's style of hats in Russia. Not the big fuzzy hats, but more like the fisherman, driver, cabbie style caps.

What is it with you and third reich symbols?

I have a big fascination for things nazi. Whether in art, films, music or clothes. It's interesting stuff.

You know that you come across as a neo nazi saying stuff like that, right?

Oh I know. After seeing some nazi art I've done (I love the propaganda stuff), one would truly think I was. Plus, I often listen to the german band Einstürzende Neubauten (not nazi) and the average person would find that even more weirder.

I don't really care though. It must be my fascination with things German too.

Thing is though, you seem to go after the shock value of things and you make no effort whatsoever to even imply that you aren't a nazi :)

Or am I completely off?

I hate things done for mere shock value. I find it insulting and quite bland. So I don't do things for just shock value.

I'm not a nazi. But that doesn't stop me from buying a CD of Hitler speeches :p . I love hearing the crowd say "Sieg Heil!". It's a very interesting sound and sends chills down my spine.

It is pretty amazing that it really happened, I know. And it is important to learn from the past. I wish more of the young childrens today would take an interest in history.
