Hey Jonni, Glad you're a fan. Your age doesn't matter, nor does it matter when you became a fan. I'm happy that I was around when the Beasties first hit the scene but if you're a new fan I think that's great. Listen to their whole catalog of songs and you won't be disappointed.

I think judging people by their age is something stupid. I mean, nobody has the same oportunity or luck to hear the Beastie Boys for the first time. Im quite young yet (Im 20) but I listen to BBoys since '92 when CYH was released. (Note: I was 8 at that time. That was the time when I started to skateboard.). So, I dont think age has any relation with knowing good or shit music.

And judging by your username I reckon you are 25, right?
You are only marginally less snotnosed than a 15 year old and at 28 I'm only marginally less snotnosed than you are :)

Hey hey hey, sorry I offended y'all, I'm just a generally loud, and sometimes slightly annoying person....but hey, at least I'm honest right? lol. If age is so important, I aint got nothin to hide, I'm a fan regardless of the fact that my mom, still has a tape via 1986-87 of Liscence to ill...actually I found out that the first time I heard them I was about a year and a half...wihich was sixteen years ago...do the math... I am seventeen. and Chika B..your right I do drive...my POS '90 Cutlas... so ya..I wasn't trying to be a slut as some one put it...or be rude...And by the way I really don't appreciate being called a slut by someone who has never had a conversation with me...and I don't appreciate be called a snot nosed little kid...I may not be over the age of 18 but at least I am mature enough not to diss people or make assumptions of the characters of certain people based on age alone.....I said my peice and if I've offended anyone, lighten up...life too short to walk around butt hurt all the time..have some fun! Go crazy!

Ya I don't take to kindly to being called a bitch for no reason either...I said 'hey bitchazz' in a non-insulting kind of way...like some people would say wassup homies...or whatever....maybe I should have been more clear on that note

Yea, you guys are being douches, i think the slut thing was becuz u put somethin about bein sexy... which i dont think is slutty.. kinda cocky.. but its all cool. and becuz u heard 'girls' on a punk station.. thats sorta considered a 'bad way' to find them, but hell... i got into them through girls and brass monkey..(joke songs mind u... as was all of licensed to ill) but yea, u move on to their other shit and love it.
basics..... inside of () are the main song from that cd
they started out as punk band, then became rap group around 85ish, 86 had Licensed to Ill (fight for your right), 89 had Paul's Boutique(shake your rump), 92 had Check Your Head(so watcha want), 94 had Ill Communication(sure shot/ sabotage), 98 had Hello Nasty (intergalactic), 04 had To the Five Boroughs (ch-check it out...sadly)
also note classics that werent on albums:skills to pay the bills and Alive...
members are Mike D, Adrock, Mca..... this is the basics.... very... basics..oh, and they're old

I'm 15! Yay! Nuh, that song girls is pretty disrespectful to women:
"Girls to do the dishes
Girls to clean up my room
Girls to do the laundry
Girls and in the bathroom."
Tut on those kids. But I guess they've changed their ways:
"To all the mothers and the sisters and the wives and friends
I want to offer my love and respect to the end."
Hurray for everything!... Anyway, just follow your heart. That's what I do.

And? Your point? It's not my real name, just a nick. I hate my birth name....why is everyone so bent on being normal all the time? Thats no fun! And as for 'Girls' being disrespectful to women...well, whatever. Its got a good beat and its funny... like I have said before....life is to short to be butt hurt and offended all the time. Peace
Jonni
(Johny~Boys name, Jonni~ my name, get the difference?)
My point is as follows:
life too short to walk around butt hurt all the time.
Hope this clears things up.

Yeah LTI was 20 years ago, but I still listen to it. I think it's good, I don't get offended by it at all and I think it's funny. It's not my favorite though, I think Hello Nasty and TT5B sounds the most awsome in the car with the bass turned all the way up. The other albums sound good on my headphones. I don't get offended by being called biatch or bitch either, the funny thing is I'm pretty sensitive but it's stupid if anybody gets offended by it.

Yeah you're right huh, I should switch Hello Nasty with Check Your Head because when I heard Pass The Mic on the radio I was all like 'whoa!'. But Putting Shame In Your Game is even more like 'whoa!'. :D But I really listen to all of them. I always have the bass to the max.
