agree anyone? I know its a fuckin great song but I don't know if it's the best ever. if you don't agree, then what song is the greatest of all time?
Music is pretty personal so I don't even know if it's even debatable.

Anyone who doesn't think "A day in the life" isn't the best song ever is a fool, a damn fool. Please move this thread, and slap the thread starter.

I agree.

It's not my favorite, but it's one of my favorites, and it seems like a good choice for that title.

i never said it was my favourite, but it's great

i hate a lot of great bands, i dont like nirvana, radiohead or metallica (tzar's gonna have an outcry about that) but i admit they're good and see why people like them

I hate the beatles, but understand why everyone loves them

and fuck, i'll even go as saying eminem's a good MC even though his work is commercial shit and i thought 8 Mile was a comedy

Same rule applies to Stairway

it is a good song.. that doesn't mean that it is the best or zeppelin's best.

it's a damned good song. But the greatest song of all time is subjective, and is a matter of personal opinion.

I think of music in a similar vein as religion (and I am not religious, but bear with me here). Basically, people are going to like what they are going to like, and choose what is best for them/what they like best.

It's like trying to say one religion is better than the other. You can't do that, because you cannot dictate which religion may be better for one person or the other.

Or maybe what I am trying to explain does not make any sense to anyone except me and it only makes sense in my head. Damn it.
