How do you count views of posts?

If I keep viewing the same thread does the view count go up? Or does my view only count once?

Have 5000 separate people viewed Anne Lauren's thread "this board sucks" or did each of us go in there 20 times?

I've wondered about this for a long time. :o

(bad title by the way, should have asked about counting views of THREADS not posts. duh)

That's a good question.

I thought about the same thing.

The count includeds multiple views by the same user - so if you view it more than once you'll be increasing the total views count each time.

except if you view your own thread which you made over and over it will not go up correct?
