I miss writing/receiving real letters from people. Even my 80 year old Gram-Gram e-mails me. I don't know, there is something more personal in having a tangible peice of paper that someone actually wrote on than an instant message, e-mail, pm, text message, or phone call. Or maybe I'm just old.

it is always nice to gat a hand writen letter from somone,it has so much more meaning that an email and if they have writen it by hand it normaly means they have put some thinking into what they are writing unlike with email

that it is always exiting to get a letter,if you don't get then very often :(

yeah. I can't remember the last one I've received and/or written. It's been ages ago. It's like a dying art. :(

yer i was showed how to write a proper letter by my teacher at primary school and now about 8 years on they have stopped teaching the kids at the school how to write a letter, they say it isnt that important any more

i mean with spell checkers and all the other stuff you get on computers is there any reason to teach kids anymore ,mite aswell just give em a computer each and let them get on with being retards

if all other forms of comunication over long distance where removed some of the people i know would be fucked, infact there was a guy in my class at school last year who didn't know how to write an address  ,realy how stupid can you get (n)

It's funny that you mention that because I wrote my first "real" letter in years last Friday (I actually typed it... I signed it though) and sent it off Monday...

I've got a friend who still hand-writes letters. He's good at it too.

Another friend of mine wirtes hand-writen letters but it feels like she's writing with a thesaurus in hand. She doesn't talk like that so why should she write like that. It never sounds like her.

The first friend just writes in a way that makes you feel as though you can hear him talking. That's hard to do.

Not if they are handled properly, but they might turn into a white powder if they're bumped around.

I have 8 hours of downtime at work. I'll often write letters to people.

Not as often as I should.

Nor do I get letters back as often as I should.

In other news: I almost always hate spending money on anything, but I actually like buying stamps. (And hate wasting them on bills)

I miss writing/receiving real letters from people.

You'd not miss paper correspondance from me, my handwriting is often described as illegible. That said, I have never received a letter that has had the abbreviations "U" and "LOL" in it, so there is certainly something to be said for it.
