Right, what do you do if you feel you have to say to somebody close to you that they should be doing something or acting a certain way, BUT, you shouldnt HAVE to tell them, and by telling them it feels like it will be wrong/fake/false if they do start acting that way, and you'd always wonder are the only acting that way cuz you told them....

I hope that makes sense, i cant go into any further details!

thats the closest thing to the situation, but its not that. But i suppose that would be the closest approximation. Like, you want to tell someone that they should do something, but you shouldnt have to tell them. Like you said, if you wanted someone to say "i love you" but you dont feel like its should be told
