One:

Most people who are, are here because of mutual love for the Beastie Boys, and I have never seen you post anywhere but General Political. Do you even like the Beastie Boys, or were you forwarded here by another conservative board talking about us, and you felt like picking a constant fight?

Two:

You said before that you were once a "proud liberal". What qualities of the Democratic party did you agree with enough to label yourself a "proud liberal" at one point?

I'd like a clear-cut answer to this, don't beat it around the bush or give me any kind of answer that doesn't SPECIFICALLY ANSWER THESE TWO QUESTIONS.

Thanks.

this is like asking a toddler if they shit their pants...

So many potential lines... "He stinks more." "He is full of my crap than a toddler's nappy."

Best not to go down the "Gizmo knows all about what goes on in toddler's pants" route though. Too stale after the Jackson trial.

The implied conflation of the Democratic party with liberal politics makes this question somewhat odd.

Yeah, but if you know Gizmo, you know that to him the two are roughly synonymous.

The Democratic party was not always so stinking liberal. Let's see here

John F. Kennedy (more concervative than Liberal)

Ronald Reagan (more concervative than Liberal) Yes at one point he was a Democrat.

now we have John Kerry. He said Nixon sent him to Vietnam (Nixon wasn't the president when we first went to the Vietnam.
How old are you??? Even I'm too old to remember when JFK was alive and when Reagan was a Democrat! You're saying you were liberal when they were liberals???

When and where did Kerry say Nixon sent Kerry to Vietnam? That interests me, even though anyone can misspeak. I love to track down the original source for stuff like that. Often there isn't one.

I also don't get how we "have" John Kerry. Are you saying he has gotten more conservative suddenly?

P.S. It's "conservative" and I normally wouldn't say anything but if you're going to adopt a label it would be embarrassing to spell it wrong in front of your fellow conservatives.

are you a sorta smart monkey sitting behind a computer screen in a science lab somewhere out there?
That certainly would explain alot...

I used to like the Beastie Boys.

I never said I was a "proud liberal".

The Democratic party was not always so stinking liberal. Let's see here

John F. Kennedy (more concervative than Liberal)

Zell Miller (more concervative than Liberal)

Joe Liberman (more concervative than Liberal)

Ronald Reagan (more concervative than Liberal) Yes at one point he was a Democrat.

now we have John Kerry. He said Nixon sent him to Vietnam (Nixon wasn't the president when we first went to the Vietnam.

So you're saying you were a Democrat at one point because of someone elected in 1961 (which means in order to be eligible to vote for him, you'd have to have been born in 1943, and are therefore are around 62 years of age which is highly doubtful, so my only conclusion is that you never voted for him)? Also, you were a Democrat because of Zell Miller (a flaming Republican "disguised" as a Democrat...anyone who has Sean Hannity in the forward to his book has never been a true Democrat), Joe Liberman (in the closet Republican), and Ronald Reagan, who was Republican for most of his career?

If you called yourself a Democrat because of these 4 men you're even dumber than I thought. Didn't you see the thousands of other Democrats who were NOT like them? Didn't you see the Republicans who were like them? I mean, if you called yourself a Democrat because of 4 conservative Democrats out of thousands of true Democratic leaders, that's really retarded.

Tell me, when you were a Democrat, who did you vote for? Because I'm thinking it wasn't Kennedy. And I'm thinking it wasn't anyone else, either. I don't think you ever WERE a Democrat, I think you're full of it.

And what was your favorite Beastie Boy song, and album? And during what era did you "stop" liking them? I'd like to know.

About the time Rush Limbaugh came on the air and the whole right wing radio thing started. I'm sure this was a deciding factor in many voters switch. Armchairing politics became all the vogue.

The rise of Talk Radio political pundits was not an accident. If one were to look at who owns these stations a pattern emerges on how programming is decided.

I really think alot of good meaning citizens have labeled their fellow Americans and now believe it is OK to do this because of Rush and his ilk. For this reason I hate the fuck.

The Democratic party didn't get so liberal until about 1990. It has been getting more liberal ever since. Your pal Bill Clint[on] ran as a moderate.
So pro-death penalty, budget-balancing Clinton was more liberal in 1994 than Johnson, Humphrey, McGovern, Carter, Mondale, and Dukakis? Interesting perspective on American history! And I suppose you think Al Gore was more liberal than them too? I guess other candidates who didn't get the nomination -- like Ted Kennedy -- were more conservative than Clinton and Gore as well?

It's so funny that so many liberals have been abandoning the Democratic party because they have the opposite opinion. If the Democratic Party is getting more liberal, where did Nader's support come from in 2000?

You know, I think I could make an argument that Nixon was more liberal than Clinton.

Just say that you grew up and changed your mind on what's important in life. Or tell people that you got more conservative as you started making more money. Or that you suddenly found a fundamentalist religion. They'll believe you. It happens to lots of people. And it's easier than trying to rewrite history.

You idiot, I said Clint[on] was a moderate.
YES. I CAN READ!

But I was responding to the other thing you said:

The Democratic party didn't get so liberal until about 1990.What you said there was that the Democratic party was more liberal after 1990 than before 1990, which is why I compared the party's presidential candidates from before and after the year you selected. You are an American aren't you? Because I wouldn't expect someone from another country to know this stuff.

Did you say somewhere that you're a cop? If so, are you a licensed peace officer? Because I have a lot of respect for cops and I'd hate to see someone impersonating one to make them look bad. You seem to be feeding into the stereotype and I thought maybe you were doing that on purpose. If I'm off the mark, I'm sorry.

"Certified" possibly. But apart from a certificate awarded for high density of bullshit, can't imagine what else a loser like you would qualify for.

Hey, just because police officers have no need for a college education to get their job doesn't mean that he's not qualified. I'm sure that he could get a great job as a mall security officer, or head bucaroo at Chucky Cheese. In case you don't know, head bucaroo gets 30% off instead of the normal 25%, and he gets all the free tokens you'd ever wish for.

So don't disrespect his skills.

How in the world did you pass the Civil Service exam? Or are you in some backwater burg that just sent you to an academy?

I have a question for sisko as well. Since you refuse to believe anything anyone here has to say in support of evolution, please explain were Cain's wife came from. If everyone in the world is descended from Adam and Eve, and they only had two sons, how is everyone here?

Sorry to start a religious conversation in your thread, Queenie. I just didn't want to start another "question for sisko" thread.

Genesis 4
Cain and Abel
1 Adam [a] lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. [b] She said, "With the help of the LORD I have brought forth [c] a man." 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. 4 But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."

8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." [d] And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?"
"I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?"

10 The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth."

13 Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me."

15 But the LORD said to him, "Not so [e] ; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, [f] east of Eden.

17 Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch. 18 To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech.

19 Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah. 20 Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock. 21 His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play the harp and flute. 22 Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of [g] bronze and iron. Tubal-Cain's sister was Naamah.

23 Lamech said to his wives,
"Adah and Zillah, listen to me;
wives of Lamech, hear my words.
I have killed [h] a man for wounding me,
a young man for injuring me.

24 If Cain is avenged seven times,
then Lamech seventy-seven times."

25 Adam lay with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, [i] saying, "God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him." 26 Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh.
At that time men began to call on [j] the name of the LORD.
Thanks, that doesn't answer anything.

I certainly have my doubts about his father being dead. It sounds like something he would make up just for sympathy. But if it's true than you sound like a total asshole. And even if it's not (the more likely scenario) it's still really fucking sick. Sodomizing a corpse? Ewwww. Plus you could come up with something original. Even if it wsn't so gross, it's getting old.

I remember reading numerous times in papers and elsewhere that scientists have found that all humans came from two parents. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=humans+descend+from+two+parents

I'm too lazy to look for any credible sources, so just scan through the pages until you feel you found one.

I'd like to note that there was plenty of incest in the beginning of man. Why is it not acceptable now? There's plenty of us now so no need to have incest.

Anyway, Ace...I'm beginning to find you more disturbing and annoying than sisko.
