Wow, I never thought I'd do this, but here I am.

This is my first time ever at this, so we'll see how things go.

With the glut of "post here" threads going around, I got a lot of interesting and constructive replies. So I'll try and return the favor here.

I will try and be as honest as possible, mixing the positive with the negative whenever applicable. If I have no clue who you are, I'll give it a shot, but don't expect anything awesome if you've only made 30 posts about Adam Yauch's shoelaces over at Beastie General. ;)

Here goes nothing...

Ah, Razorblade. The immediate memories of you are certainly of those photos where you wear your Dad's old glasses and put on a bunch of shaving cream. An interesting photo choice for a 15-year-old girl. :p

You definitely seem like someone who has a good head on your shoulders. From what I've read, you've definitely been through a lot, and certainly a lot of shit you don't deserve. But it's encouraging to see you getting past all the crap and bettering yourself. Keep along this path and things should be fine in the long run. (BTW, how is your friend who was in the car accident? I sure hope he's okay)

If I have anything critical to say, sometimes you use your experiences on this board to try and make yourself seem all "tough" or something. I don't find that a good move, and it seemed to backfire. But fortunately that seems to be tempered.

Aw damn, I don't know that much about you. The first thing that pops into mind is that photo of you milking for the camera with this "sad" face. I think you put it in the emo contest. That one gave me a good laugh.

Other than that, I'm honestly not sure what to say that's positive or negative. I know you got some kind of reputation and notoriety, but maybe I didn't receive the memo.

Nevertheless, it's nice to see you got love for old corny TV sitcoms. I was a big fan of Stephanie of the girls on "Full House." I think I was around her age when I watched it. What a hottie!

Beastieangel/Tresbienfem. I don't think I have a single bad word to say about you. Not only are you drop dead gorgeous, but you got a great personality to go with the looks. I like how on your MySpace profile, you're very unabashed about your geekiness and I gotta say that's pretty cool.

If I woke up tomorrow and the whole world is crawling with zombies, you'd be the first I'd turn to in taking all them living dead suckahs on. Have you read that "The Zombie Survival Guide" book? If not, I'm sure that shit is right up your alley.

My only concern about you is that you've got a history for getting a billion compliments on this board (and I'm sure that's true in real life). I just hope all that doesn't get to your head and then suddenly you turn vain. But something tells me that you'd be above all that.

I know you were banned here for awhile (how come?), but it's great to see you served your time and you're back!

Squirrel! As we've seen on this board. Nothing is permanent. There's always newbies joining the flock and veterans end up leaving (poor poor Knuckles and a-z :( ). But one thing that always seems to stay the same is good ol' Squirrel. Even your avatar is always the same (though my worldview was shocked when you changed it for a few weeks... man, that was rough).

I always enjoy reading your threads of all these girls who hit on you, and everytime I read them you seem to be a gentleman. Good on ya!

You've definitely got some good things going for you right now. I hope you become that hip-hop producer (or was it a DJ? Whatever you wrote on MySpace) that you dream of becoming. You've got a good handle on the music thing and I hope that works out for you.

And how can I knock on anyone who has such a cute puppy? I'll bet he's very lucky to have such a great owner.

If you don't mind my asking, how are things going with you after your dad passed away? I hope everything is good on that end.

Turd... allow me to quote Winston Churchill:

"You are a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma."

Throughout my time here, I've never been sure what the hell to make of you. You are lude, crude and just oh so rude. At the same time, I can't help but laugh at it all. Which is probably your intention, you aim for the shock humor, the gross-out humor. Something tells me you could co-write scripts with the Farrelly brothers or something ("There's Something About Turd"? Better call an agent).

Though I've tried to keep my distance from you, if our paths ever crossed, I'd like to shake your hand (though, come to think of it, I'm not quite sure where it's been  ).

I don't think I'm anywhere near to cracking the riddle that is Turd. Nobody else has, so that ain't happening. Besides, if we think too hard about Turd aren't we just missing the point anyways?

Auton,

I gotta ask... what does that name mean, exactly?

Anyways, you seem like a stand-up guy. You rule the "Other Music" forum like it's nobody's business and I think you're THE go to guy when it comes to all things musical. And I must show my solidarity for your views of those who seem to ONLY download music and never ever buy anything (not because they got no money, but because they're just too cheap). I don't know if you can really feel it until you're holding the tangible entity, you've read the liner notes, checked out the art work and memorized the lyrics. The download seems so impersonal... and then, deletable. It's like you're consuming it and then throwing out the bone. Or whatever.

I think sometimes you can come across as too opinionated to the point where you can be abrasive, but I guess that's just the nature of things when someone feels very passionately about something.

DroppinScience

DipDipDive,

Contrary to popular belief, you don't seem like such a butch (ok, ok, so maybe you don't shave your legs... and for all I know, your armpits either).

From what I've seen, you do strike me as abrasive. I don't know whether I've just misinterpreted you or you just don't like me, but that's my gut reaction when I think of you.

Maybe all this is because you live in West Virginia and you previously came from one of the coolest cities in America (Chicago) and you're now just pissed off that Barack Obama isn't representing you and there's just too many hicks you have to deal with on a daily basis. I know how it is, Alberta's got a lot of hicks, even if Edmonton itself is pretty progressive.

Nevertheless, your story of dancing like crazy at the De La Soul concert had me hanging by the edge of the seat! And when the camera guys filming for the DVD focused the attention on you and then you kinda froze... damn, that got my heartstrings tied in a bunch. :(

Ah yes, perhaps my favorite member of the so-called "Oz Clique."

I've got nothing bad to say about you. You've got a good sense of humor and are just an all-around good natured dude.

If I have any bones of contention with you, it's probably that you were a little too into those mediocre pop-punk/ska-ish type bands once upon a time (e.g. Goldfinger... I think they only have 2 or 3 songs I actually like). But hey, we were all young once and we all make some musical mistakes when we're still impressionable (hell, I used to like Kid Rock once :( ).

Your injections of positivity and optimism (especially when I freaked out when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer) never failed to make me feel better, and I do thank you for that.

Goldfinger...:rolleyes:I like maybe 3 songs of theirs (superman, here in your bedroom, and maybe counting the days). Its just I really enjoyed a live performance they did at Livid Festival 2003. I still count it in my top 5 best live performances ever, right up there with the beastie boys, jurassic 5, the hives and rocket science. And Kid Rock had one song I liked, WCSR with snoop dogg...funny ass lyrics about Bill Clinton there (y). That hippo thing is Plok, the video game character from the snes game. Hes doing a dance. DS, you're a misguided soul...

SobaViolence... my former compadre back in the days when my home was the Political board.

Your views were DEFINITELY strong, and though we're both in the same left-of-center spectrum, you certainly were of the much more radical mindset than I ever could be.

But your thoughts were always articulate and you definitely exuded compassion when it came to your positions. I may have been far too pro-American for your sensibilities, but hey, I can't help it... Alberta is the most "American" part of Canada. ;)

Also, I gotta say it was great that you showed a LOT of pride for your French-Canadian background. I too have some of that pride, but I guess I'm a tad too watered-down and assimilated.

Remember that time when I originally thought you were a guy until you posted your photos? Oh man, those were the days.

Anyways, I gotta say I dig you a lot and I think that Synch fellow is very lucky to have you.

You're very prideful of your Native American heritage and it's pretty neat to see you continue to uphold your culture and language, especially in this day and age.

I don't know where your politics lie per se, but I always feel an affinity for people living in those "red states." Particularly the ones who are liberal-minded (I'm gonna presume that's you) yet they're surrounded by a larger conservative culture. It's pretty easy to say you're a liberal in places like New York or California or Seattle or anywhere else, but I think it takes guts to be contrarian in the places where that kind of thought just ain't very common.

And DS -- I'd think you'ld keep better track of fellow Canadians. :)

I used to be a little afraid of DDD even though she never did anything to me. I still don't get how she brings up some of my favorite old music out of the blue. I wasn't anywhere near that cool at her age. And do you know how it is where you remember funny things. I always associate DDD with John Tesh because I think that was her avatar when I joined.

Documad,

If this board starts to get bogged down in juvenile delinquincy, harsh cynicism, mental retardation, venomous bile-fuelled hate and whatever other forces of evil apparent... you are the one who immediately makes it all better.

I don't mean this to say you start kicking people's asses and take out the trash like some vigilante (though you are one lean, mean fighting machine over at Political). What I mean is your posts immediately make me forget that the last 20 or so posts that came before had me kringing. You are a tonic.

I also fully admire how you've handled yourself whenever people attacked you. The obvious incident would be when Damaja called you that c-word (I ain't gonna say it, don't want my ass banned  ). Some people (*ahem*Anasazi*ahem*) got pretty pissed off that you had to go and report it. For what it's worth, you did the right thing (and the mods did the right thing as well... it's just Damaja who did the WRONG thing). And when you started taking the heat for this, you beautifully handled yourself. Especially when you put Anasazi's own words as your sig! I mean, THAT was such a slick move, it got me laughing. Also when Anne Lauren (ugh) called you an anti-social dork for no reason and then you co-opted her words as your "Custom Member Title"... also, priceless. It's like no matter what slings and arrows people throw your way, you know how to throw them right back at the assailants and they just walk away completely schooled.

Aside from the controversies... you are one hell of a cool lady! I love hearing your opinions on foreign movies, indie music, you name it. Even when I don't agree with you where I may think your position is too elitist or snobby, I can still respect where you're coming from.

Thanks DS, really.

(I know I know I have to let it go but he called BSTEGRL a cunt in the admin forum so I didn't have to report anything I merely chided everyone who posted before me for not saying anything but I've really really let it go--I honestly have no problem with damaja, then or now--and it was Freebasser who ran Anasazi off by brilliantly calling him on his "internet persona"--and I'm not a militant feminist but I don't mind playing one on the internet)

Speaking of controversy, RancidBeasties often supports unpopular positions because he thinks it's the right thing to do, which is rare in one so young and so male. He does this even though he has nothing to gain from it. I also think he has cool taste in music even though I haven't heard of lots of the bands he listens to. He's getting out there and seeing lots of bands live and that's what you should be doing in your first year of "university."

Oh man, this stuff is overwhelming. I'm never making any more threads like this again. ;)

Cosmo,

Just the person I was hoping to have respond. Since you are of the stature that you are, I will talk about you from two angles: first, Cosmo the individual. Second, Cosmo the phenomenon.

Cosmo the person. I really don't have much to fault with you here. You're smart as whip, even though that vegan lifestyle just ain't my thing (I'm a meatlover to the extreme), you definitely make it look good (along with Moby ;) ) and I'm pretty sure whatever vegan recipes you make would be great. Your taste in music is top-notch and it's pretty great to see that you and Boomin' have been this "board couple" for so long and you've made things work as wonderfully as they are. You're definitely a billion times hipper than me, so I know I'm plenty intimidated...

Cosmo the phenomenon... okay, this is where things gets a little complicated. Being that you're as popular as you are and when you had over 10,000+ posts to your name, you've definitely been vulnerable to some revolt. Whether allegations of "the board clique" or "Care Bears" or whatever else are intentional or not, there certainly is a resentment for this "big, bad Cosmo" or what I like to call it as "The Cosmo Hegemony." I really don't know whether this is of your doing or it was by pure accident, but I think it's more the fault of this "system" that got created. Once you strip away all the Cosmo fanfare and pomp, there is a very nice person here. However, from a glance, I'm pretty sure stuff comes across as if you've got the world's biggest ego and that this place is your sandbox and you will control it the way you see fit. When in reality, it's probably your henchmen and minions that make things seem oppressive.

That's my take.

Just your name makes me smile intensely.

In a long line of sweet girls that populate this board, you are the cream of the crop (I'm talkin' Documad and Mae levels here).

You seem to be very hard on yourself at times (whether it's to do with self-esteem, how your body looks in certain clothing, etc.) and from my end, it is unwarranted.

You've also been wronged by a few asshole guys in your life. I personally would like to have a few words with those douches. But don't worry, not every dude is a jerk. I know I'm not, at least. ;)

Unpopular positions. Meaning Wrong positions :(. Dont worry, I'm conscious that I do it because I think of all the problems caused by people following the "right" path, and try to take the alternative. Most of the bands I listen to you should know: clash, ramones, pink floyd, led zeppelin, INXS, AC/DC, Jurassic 5, Ash, White Stripes, At the drive in, mars volta etc., those you dont are probably the result of them being Australian ie rocket science, dallas crane, the redsunband, regurgitator, ground components :)

Unfortunately you're another one of those cases of "Who are you, again?" that I just won't do a good job.

HOWEVER, your name has captured my attention in some minor ways. First, you're from Fargo, ND. I loved the movie "Fargo" a lot. Do you talk like Frances McDormand? ;)

Next, was it you who said something about how your town never sells alcohol on a Sunday? Forgive me if it was someone else.

Either way, that little tidbit opened my eyes to more injustices and more horror than I ever thought was possible in this world. Oh well, there's always South Dakora. ;)

Well, the times I've noticed was when I agreed with you. But you're respectful of other opinions which is good too. And you should be listening to music I've never heard of!!!

It's been nice that last night and tonight there were these post here threads -- usually these happen when I'm at work. I've been on a lot at night this week because I'm loading all these CDs into my larger hard drive. It's taking forever because I keep messing up. DS is keeping up the quality too.

I thought Cosmo was super cool until I found out that she likes the most irritating guy on Ed (a show full of irritating guys). :p I'm relieved to know that she has a flaw.

Aight, Beth!

If I ever get sued for defamation of character or anything else, I'm gonna give you a call. You may not be Perry Mason just yet, but I'm sure you'll get there immediately.

I know I've told you this before, but it's still remarkable that you're a 35-year-old woman. I would've thought you were 20-something. My, my, those are some good genes you've inherited! (y)

Anyways, there is no doubt in my mind that you are a wonderful mother to your kids. With your divorce and everything that's happened, I'm sure things were rough, but I know you've braved the storm. And it's awesome this story will have a happy ending now that Dr. Deaf will be moving in with you (only a few more weeks, right?).

Which brings me to the discussion with "board couples." Aside from Cosmo and Boomin', you are probably the most visible of these board couples. For a time, you and Deaf caused many a-gagging from some people with all the mushy declarations of love on this board and so forth. Not everyone needs to see that sort of thing, and with that, I do give praise that you guys started toning it down once people raised objections. Afterall, look what they're doing with the whole Tom and Katie thing!

With so many great ladies populating this board, you also rank quite high up there.

When in reality, it's probably your henchmen and minions that make things seem oppressive.
i swear to god, i don't know where people still get this idea. i never came across as that, and i think people are just perpetuating some myth...i'm just a 21-year-old girl.

As I said before, Cosmo the Phenomenon is the work of outside forces, not of you (at least not consciously). It took on such a life of its own.

Like it or not, you once asserted quite the dominance over this board and whether real or imagined, there was this feeling of an "in crowd" (i.e. you and your closest friends on here) and the structure felt hierarchical.

Again, all this bears no similarity to Cosmo the individual. :)

Your username definitely fits you. Because, quite frankly, my impressions of you is of someone who is quite batty.

You come off as melodramatic to me. One example was when I made a reference to board couples and listed a few: "Cosmo & Boomin, Beth & Deaf, etc." you went out of your way to say that you and Pres Zount have names and should NOT be relegated to merely "etc." (nevermind the fact that there's like 6 or 7 other board couples). Incidents like that made me feel you were egocentric in that way.

At the same time, however, you have a wicked sense of humor. I loved how you made the thread and started making imitations of all the board members (and your impersonation of me had me laughing out of my chair). Also you were hilarious when I "e-sexed up" Rosie Cotton and you were all like: "Ew. Ew. Do we have to hear about this??" Those moments are gold. Gold.

Even though you have posted your pic, I will always think of you as that robot from "Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy" since it was your avatar for awhile.

Have you read that "The Zombie Survival Guide" book?

My only concern about you is that you've got a history for getting a billion compliments on this board (and I'm sure that's true in real life). I just hope all that doesn't get to your head and then suddenly you turn vain. But something tells me that you'd be above all that.

I know you were banned here for awhile (how come?), but it's great to see you served your time and you're back!

I own that book :D

Also, as far as compliments go, I appreciate them and try to thank anyone who bothers. But for the most part, I've always had iffy self-esteem, and the only person that can change that is me. A billion compliments will do nothing really. It's all gotta be from the inside, na'mean?

And I was banned for that animated ass picture on the gif thread I believe. Haha.

Oh TAL, what can be said about you?

Even though you're a plenty prominent fixture of this board, I just don't know much about you. If the BBMB were to have a cocktail party or some other social function and everyone was invited, I'd see you as the calm, silent observer. Polite and friendly, but an introverted soul. You wouldn't want to get too rowdy in all the action, you'd rather sit back and watch mickill and afronaut engage in an egg-eating contest or become intrigued when the inevitable spat between Qdrop and anyone within five yards of him goes down.

At the same time, you do desire to get into the spotlight, if not overtly. You're always honored to see a thread you created go up to more than 2 pages. What that would prove to everyone else, I'm not sure of, but maybe you just wanna sit back and go: "SEE guys, I made a thread and got people talking for so long. I am now an interesting and engaging person for doing this."

At least, that's my take of it...

Tzar,

The official headbanger of the message board. If you were an emoticon, you would be this one: \m/ and you'd hit anyone over the head with a barstool if any goddam pretender to the metal throne tried to steal it from you.

I'm not sure how old you are, but you've always struck me as a young dude (as in 16-17 or so). If you've ever caused me any headaches in the past (this would be when your initial rhetoric was all like: "NO mellow music! Not that fuckin' Coldplay horseshit. Only fuckin' Metallica, man!"), I'd like to think it'd be because of your age.

Also, I always can't help but find it disconcerting when you claim that when you watch movies like "Scarface" or "Heat" and that you were getting a boner because of it (particularly in the scenes where there'd be all these epic shoot-outs). That's a lot of homoeroticism, my friend.

Nevertheless, you do seem like a good guy, even if you can act a little too immature for my liking.

My favorite Italian from Amsterdam. You gotta have one of the most interesting hyphenization of anyone in the world. African-American, French-Canadian... meh, those are such pedestrian hypenizations. Would you call yourself an Italian-Dutch? Dutch-Italian? Just thinking about the nationalities, I now have a craving for some ravioli right now.

Anyways, you've gotta be one of the most pleasant, easygoing cats on this board. It seems nothing really phases you on this board, and I always get a good chuckle everytime you tease either myself or throw some quips at others. Always spot on.

As I like to connect pictures with the individual for anybody NOT in the witness protection program (as Nuzzolese, enree, ms. peachy, Rancid Beasties and others apparently have joined), I will forever associate you with the photos of you at the Chemical Brothers concert in the baseball cap, the beard and the glasses. Hi mom! :p

Sorry, I'll try and tone down the maternal associations here...

Anyways, for the longest time I originally thought you were an Australian. Then when it turned out you're really an American and you just happen to know lots of Aussies and know lots about the country, that threw me for a loop. Y'see when I read people's posts, I try and envision some kind of a "voice" for them. Naturally I read all your posts as if you had an Australian accent. To an extent, I still am thinking of the Aussie accent, but it's been tempered to the American accent. Yeah, the voices in my head scare me too. ;)

If you don't mind, I'm gonna bring it back to you being a mom. I will now forever think of you as the mom who wants to play Public Enemy on the car stereo, yet your son wants to hear some Coldplay. If that ain't a contrast, I don't know what is. If I was your son (which, scarily enough, I think you are old enough to be my mom... a young mom, perhaps), I'd gladly listen to Coldplay AND Public Enemy back to back. Then again, I'm just so eclectic with my musical tastes.

As I've told you before, you're a super lady and I foresee you reaching Documad levels on this board. Keep reachin' for that rainbow!

For a brief moment in BBMB history (early 2005), you were a phenomenon unlike any other. The only thing that could have matched it was The Beatles' first appearance on Ed Sullivan.

You were so confounding, nobody knew what to make of you. Here is this 13 year old kid from Spain who barely knows a word of English (at least that's what we're told) and were so lost in translation, you had the board collectively laughing until their spleen exploded.

Then came the words that are bound to be engrained in our consciousness on par with "I Have a Dream", "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" or "I can't believe it's not butter!"....

"I shit in the milk!"

The rest, as they say, is history.

In light of veteran goth Norcen apparently finding God and burning all his Cure CDs and throwing away his Weimar-era German horror films (they got in the way with his relationship to the almighty, right? ), it seems you are here to fill the void of board goths. Unless of course you're actually Norcen in disguise...

First and foremost... holy crap, those baby torture art pieces will give me nightmares until the end of days. Now, I realize it's really hard growing up white in the suburbs, but did you have to go THAT all-out for your artwork?

Getting that out of the way, my impressions of you is that of someone who is intensely creative, thoughtful and just plain out there. Your threads of appropriating inanimate objects with all of us boardmembers is a marvel to behold in and of itself and is a great way to receive the much-needed notoreity that is necessary if you want to stick out in the bustling metropolis that is the BBMB.

b-grrrlie,

I usually tend to roll my eyes at the cliched usernames of "Beastiegirl105" just because there's about a billion names very similar to that and I can never tell them apart.

I am glad to say that despite the fact that your username is quite close to those names, not only do you transcend the name with your bangin' personality, but you did a very clever spin on the age-old "Beastiegirl" type name (what's not to love about a tribute to the "riot grrrl" movement?).

A lot like Documad and enree, you have more years on us than the typical teenage BBMBer or even the 20-something members. But unlike us youngings, you all are like a fine wine. You get better and better with age!

You seemed to have followed all the cool musical trends and movements of the last 20+ years closely and that makes me envy you a lot. I mean, how awesome would it have been to follow U2 right from 1980 to today? Myself, I only have some vague memories of "Joshua Tree"-era stuff and their '90s material.

I would definitely love to rock out in your moshpit... and I didn't mean that sexually.

I wouldn't mind journeying across the room to say "Hi" but the chair on this side of the room is so nice and comfy, y'know?

Anyways, for the longest time I've had you and i'mcrafty mixed up. The names are so similar I've probably thought it was something you said when it really was i'mcrafty and vice versa. I guess that's how it goes for some of the less frequent posters or so.

Going by my limited knowledge with yourself, you made the biggest impression on me in that thread trying to pin-point the various regionalisms and accents evident throughout Canada and the United States. I think it was a mistake for me trying to verbalize how you can tell apart Canadians and Americans who sound accent-neutral. What I've felt is a gut reaction and you can't really properly put that shit into words. Anyways, you seemed quite conscious of how things roll in Canada vs. the U.S. and I gotta say I always like it when Americans appear to be knowledgeable about how things can be outside their borders. Too many Americans I think are "self-absorbed" so it's always refreshing to see an American who actually knows that Toronto and Vancouver are on opposite ends of the country and that we have a Prime Minister, NOT a President, Chancellor or Emperor, etc. That stuff is minor, but even knowing a little bit goes a long way so I don't have to go  everytime I need to explain that there's provinces, NOT states in Canada.

Aw man, that was classic. I think I still have that as my sig on the Rosie SN.

Rosie Cotton,

No, I will NOT call you Medellia, because in my mind you will always be that Rosie Cotton. I don't get it when people change their usernames. I mean, I'm gonna be DroppinScience until we're all in retirement homes and all our teeth fall out and so forth. What's the significance of Medellia? Is it another LOTR reference?

Anyways, Rosie Cotton, out of all the forum members that frequent this place, I probably know you the best, since we talk quite a bit on AIM. In my opinion, you have achieved a similar level of worship among the female members such as Heiress. Which is quite a feat because you have only posted 2 photos (one that's all blurry and you look like you're about to see Grateful Dead and one when you were just a kid), where Heiress has like 600.

All this can be attributed to the fact that you can get down and dirty (ewww...) with all the nerdy boys and discuss Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, comic books and anything else that has to do with tireless pursuit of Chewbacca toys from Burger King or that damn Gandalf action figure. Lord knows how many board crushes you've inspired and you're certainly one lean, mean e-heartbreaker.

You are unendingly sweet and always manage to put a smile on my face. But my advice is to try and stop keeping company with people who are hell-bent on seeing ANY movie just because it features an actor or a prop dude that was involved with those LOTR movies. Trust me, you'll come out less insane. ;)

Oh yeah, and you're gonna be sending me a James Dean keychain. You sure know how to make a guy happy. :D

Awesome! That's the best one I've ever gotten.

PS- Medellia is the name of a Smashing Pumpkins song: Medellia of the Gray Skies. Not Lord of the Rings. (y)

My apologies for not getting to you last night, kll. I had to return to my Canada Day festivities. :D

Anyways, it's quite obvious to you that my first impression of you was when you sent me a PM complimenting me on some pics of myself during my New York trip in 2003. Anyone who associates "good looking" with DroppinScience has to be a-ok in my book.

Within the last year, however, you've managed to confound and puzzle me in ways I never thought possible. For one you'd say that you dreamed of me one night and then left me hanging. D'oh, I always hate to be left in suspense. ;) You've also become a master of quoting peoples' posts and twisting their words (which is alternately hilarious and frustrating). Oh and I'm not sure why you've decided to pass yourself off as a 60-year-old when it's pretty obvious you're a 20-something. Different sort of senses of humor, I suppose.

No matter what, I really dig your toque. (y)

Freebasser,

In light of the departure of Knuckles due to pressing real-life commitments (such as, y'know, helping to raise a family), if I had the power to anoint you the new Knuckles, I gladly would.

Your Photoshop projects may not have been as prolific as Knuckles, but my God, did you show a talent worthy of 2nd-in-command. The pressure to deliver in full Knuckles capacity may be daunting, but I'm sure you'll pull through.

What else can be said about you? You're quite possibly Corey Feldman's long lost twin brother and you're witty as hell. Oh yeah, our mutual contempt for hellojello (where did she go?) is something I can gladly show solidarity for. You used to be the forum's heartthrob, but now it seems you've wasted it all on too many fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Even if you end up dying on the toilet, I'm sure we'll encounter the inevitable "Freebasser sightings" because we'll never truly believe it.

WhoMoi?

Ah yes, I do remember you. Though you haven't resonated on me the same way as others, that Powerpuff Girls avatar is unmistakable. That ain't exactly my thing, maybe I'm too much of a guy to like Powerpuff girls?

Wow, I've said a lot and said so little about you. Let's just say that I think you're swell and stay that way. And for crying out loud, post more often so I can do a better job at evaluating you. :p

Um, thanks! I never thought of myself as being so worldly. Or at least North Americanly ;)
It's sweet that you're taking such time to describe people, even ones you don't know very well. I figured you probably wouldn't know much about me, although I have told you "you're so cute" on more than a few occasions, when you'd say something endearing or randomly kind in the middle of a tense or serious thread.
And as for the Powerpuff Girls, all you need to know is that Bubbles is the best one. (y)

adrockmelanie,

To use an oft-quoted phrase... you rule at life!

When it comes to you, I've probably gained infamy for having THE board crush on you. It's since subsided since I've now got a girlfriend (and no, it's not off this board), but the really odd part is... her name is ALSO Melanie.

Anyways, you always seem like a really sweet girl and I've yet to see a photo of you where you don't look adorable. Even if you can be a little snobby and dismissive (it still hurts how you've threatened to destroy all my U2 stuff :( ), you're still untouchable.

And I think you've achieved your goal of being singlehandedly associated with The Mars Volta and Queen. I know you're into a lot of the underground, newer hardcore, so I'd definitely love an education of hardcore outside the "classics" (Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Black Flag, Fugazi, et al), even if my tastes in music veer too close to the "Garden State" realm of things. ;)

Just keep ruling at life!

A. Remin' D.,

For a fairly young guy (16, right?), you seem pretty cool. You seem to have a wide variety of musical tastes, and even if there's a few bands here and there that I'm not big on, I give you big (y) for having an open mind towards music. I wasn't all that eclectic at 16, myself.

Word on the street is that you're capable of making a kick-ass pizza with some family secrets (the sauce, right?). Y'know, I am still waiting on that pizza, mon ami. ;)

The only time where I wasn't impressed with you was when you lashed out at athiests and agnostics and said that they deserved to die if they didn't believe in God. Now, you may feel strongly about your faith and there's nothing wrong with that, and perhaps they were being insensitive towards others who do believe in God, but I thought was a tad extreme, telling them they should die. But you later apologized for over-reacting, so I'm happy you did that.

That aside, you be illin'! (y)

Jabumbo,

You're an all righ... whoops, had you there for a second, didn't I? :p

Anyways, you are truly a man of carnal desires. You love your food to perfection (why are all your pictures of you eating something?) and you like your luvin' that way. You've got such a peculiar fetish for red-heads with open-toed sandals, that if I were a woman, I'd probably run away screaming. But since I'm a dude, I have no real reason to fear you. If you were a movie character, you'd be Marlon Brando in "Last Tango In Paris" or maybe Mickey Rourke in "9 1/2 Weeks"? Anything that mixes sex with food. I haven't figured out which. :p

Stay classy, you perv. ;)

Thanks. I knew you'd have something good to say about me, knowing you're such a gosh-darn nice guy. But with that I knew there would be some bad, since I know I am only human.

Yes I do regret what I said about "disbelievers", I was very angry at that time because I don't like how a lot of people just would bash all religion. I myself now, accept, and respect other religions, or non-religions. I have developed a tolerance, which I wish a lot of you would also consider, instead of whenever the topic of any religion comes up, saying something like "fuck God" and so on. It makes me hurt inside how you could be so inconsiderate. But enough of this talk...

Well Brett, I wish I could make you a pizza sometime, too bad we have to live so far away. It's always so acclaimed whenever someone has a slice, because people should know real Italian pizza is the best. Well, maybe I should say Italian-American pizza (want to be politically correct).

I also am happy you like my opened-mind of music. Yes, I may look like a "wigga", little would most people know sometimes I even be bustin' anything from Bob Dylan to Coldplay to Kelly Clarkson even. Oh, and don't forget the Dave Brubeck Quartet, or Bing Crosby, or even Luciano Pavarotti. Yeah, I'm a big fan of every music really, except very little country (Roger Williams, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams). I guess I'm just weird really, no doubt about that.

Well, I thank you for your thoughts about me, you're certainly very observant. :D

tdot04,

Being that you come from Toronto, we should probably be sworn enemies, you arrogant T.O.ers you!

However, I am filled up with no ill will towards you, my friend. Aside from your oddly very obscure pics of you playing baseball (nice catch, BTW ;)), you seem like a cool, mellow, easy-going guy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that you're affiliated with that Slimm fellow, right? Dude, seriously, that guy needs to be slapped upside the head with his 50 Cent worship and constant ending of his posts with " :D " and junk.

You may have odd choice in friends, but thankfully you have better judgement when it comes to hip-hop. I've always admired you for pointing out how all the "crunk" rappers sound exactly the same whenever someone would worship Lil' Jon or whoever else. Top marks for that one.

Not bad for a T-dotter, compadre. ;)

Icy Manipulator,

You Oz Clique-er. Somehow you got to 1000+ posts through listening to an exorbitant amount of music and living to post the tale on the "What are you listening to?" thread.

Other than the vast amount of songs you hear, you remain a mystery. Such is your username, "icy manipulator." I'm pretty sure you're wheelin' and dealin' behind the scenes to plot your overthrow of this board, when most of North America is asleep and all the Ozzies are awake and you will purge the BBMB of the non-Australians (especially those New Zealanders, damn Kiwis). From then on, this board will be dedicated to discussing dingos eating babies, koalas, putting another shrimp on the barbi and worship of Paul Hogan. Any undesirable "Yankee" elements (such as Paris Hilton or reality TV in general) will be but an afterthought in the New Aussie World Order.
hmm, so has your opinion changed within the last year and a bit? i still haven't erradicated all the kiwi's from the board yet:mad:
