I considered trying to download the proper software to get on the HUB, but I'm thinking it might not be worth the trouble.

Anyone fron here on it?

It's a sticky in General Beastie.....it's all explained there, in essence, it's a Beastie Boys file sharing site.

I've been there a few times, gotten into serious conversations there.
Once Pooty banned me tho for calling Grandmasterremix for stupid American cause he didn't know where Scandinavia was....

If you're into getting Beastie-boots or videos and stuff so that's the place.

Well, there is a billion reasons to call that grandmasterperson stupid.

I got a few things off of the hub but like roosta never installed it after reinstalling my pc.

I'm on it, haven't used it for a while.

It's definitely worth it, but I got the impression that activity there died off when the B-Boys stopped touring. No peeps equals no sharing, although I haven't been for a bit.

I heard (yeah, yeah, I heard) that Yauch does his verse from Prof Booty after Right Right Now Now on one of the later pageant dates from Europe or some shit. Might try and scoop that..

Yo KP, it's the Switzerland show that he does it.

I've used it plenty of times. I go on it every so often to see if anyone's gotten a hold of and of the shows from the past 2 years that I went to.

Is it worth the effort BigBlu? I mean downloading all the software and such. I tryst your opinion.

I dont know exactly what you mean, but the filesharing on the hub isn't strictly limited to beastie boys stuff. Its basically a p2p, whatever a user puts on there is shared. For instance I put some of my other albums, and a few episodes of tv shows on.

There's some quality live stuff on there.

There's sometime connection problems and what not, and it kinda takes a while to download stuff, but for the casual "bootleg" collector, it's worth the effort.

I've gotten some good audio stuff off of it (MTV $2 bill concert, the Jones Beach performance that I was at, a few MSG shows), so to me it was worth it.

It took me ages to figure out how to get there, I read the stickied HUB-thead several times and then finally I was there! Downloaded loads of booty, but now I have everything on my external so I don't have much to share. Got all those old japanese TV-shows from there and the Zig and Zag show that originates from me floats around a bit as well. It was a copy of a copy of a copy when I got it and then I copied it to Xavito who transfered it to DVD for everyone to share.

I highly recommend it.

The software is easy to use.

I've been using it for a long time and haven't got any problems.

There are a lot of live shows(video and audio), interviews etc.

It's worth to check there once in a while because sometimes something new appears.

You can find some rare stuff there e.g. Beasties performance and interview from some cable acces show from 1984.
