I can't believe I just read this and more, I can't believe I'm admitting it here but...

This appeared in the "The best sex I ever had" feature shut the fuck up--no making fun
of the July 2005 issue of Self:

"We'd been married about five years when this experience took place: We put on an instrumental Beastie Boys CD because their music reminds us of the early years of our relationship (we had seen the band live) and we'd always joked that it sounds a bit like porn music. We decided to do something different with each song, so with the first one, we seductively stripped. During the second we passionately kissed, and with the third things got heavier. You get the picture. I think we only lasted about five songs, but wow!"

Wow, I don't know what to say. But I thought it sounded like porn music too sort of! Everytime I hear an instrumental it reminds me of sex, ain't that weird? :D Especially Ricky's Theme.

I think instrumentals remind a lot of people of watching porn or doing drugs. Maybe both. :)

Yeah doing drugs too! Especially songs like And Me, it reminds me the most of that. Also, when I hear Futterman's Rule it reminds me of either somebody being chased by a cop (hahaha) or being in a bar playing pool or something. I just get pictures like that it's weird. By the way, thanks for sharing that!

TT5B is a great sex album - the first time. After that you just feel guilty.

It's not too bad a magazine from a fitness-articles perspective. I got hooked into reading it at the supermarket checkout. Damn them. They should put literature in the supermarket lines for us to read. :)

That's sounds like a good justification...yeah right. ;)

By the way, who was the author of that article? Anyone famous?

It wasn't so much of an article--I should have said that yesterday when I posted. It was actually a series of letters that were submitted by readers.

At the gym, the machine that I use first each morning is next to the stack of magazines that people bring in/donate. In my more bored moments, I like to watch & see which magazines people pick up. Sometimes they see me seeing them and then I can see them blush. :o Like this one guy who picked up Cosmopolitan. He saw me see him. Later he admitted that he had a crush on the woman who was on the cover. And this 65-year old lady who walks on the treadmill twice a week...she reads Sports Illustrated.

I tend not to read magazines at the gym, but I guess I'd pick up Shape or Self.
Shut up--I do have my New Yorker moments. Usually just not when I'm all sweaty.

You know, now that I think of it Beastie instrumentals sometimes DO sound a little like porn music.
