Oooh, that's what I was talking about when I said that splenda doesn't agree with me. I think the new diet coke is going to be sweetened or already is sweetened with splenda.
The "itols" (sorbitol & maltitol) have the same effect on me. They're artificial sweetners that are hidden in some foods. Most sugar-free foods are filled with that stuff and my body does not like it.

I wouldn't be surprised, mickill. Maybe I should stop posting now. :)

well, it takes a long time for food to go through your system. it can be anywhere from 24 hours to 3 days. so it doesn't have much to do with what you haven't eaten today.

I have the same reaction to those WOW chips -- olestra or whatever that fake fat is -- and it will run through me in about 20 minutes.

I was talking to the thread starter. Please. Why would I say that to you? What kind of a horrible person do you take me for?

that's usually that it takes that long. i'm not sure if those figures are absolutely correct, but that's about right. but not in the case of, say, Chron's disease.
obviously that can be different. if you have an intestinal parasite, for example, you might be shitting out your kidneys within hours. and every person differs. party pooper. ooh, a pun!
