If by "best dancer" you mean "so laughably bad that everyone eatching will pee their pants" then I would have to say me.

I minored in dance in college and when you major / minor in it you have to know all forms...so yes...what kind of dancing counts....but learning to dance and being born with rhythm are 2 different things...IMO

Yeah me too.
OR, maybe I just think I'm a better dancer, and I still suck ass.
OR, maybe the more I drink the more I'm able to relax and feel the rythm
OR a little bit of both.

I was watching the greatest Cosby Show yesterday where for some reason a whole bunch of kids and Cliff were dancing to that hippity hop music. Family grown hilarity at it's finest.

i like dancing just fine. i rarely do it tho. mostly if i'm dancing i start off as a joke and then just have fun with it. i suppose that's the way it was meant to be anyway.
i like dancing when no one's watching.

Oh I'm familiar with it, it's used to sell things by preying on people's need to be reassured that just because they suck at life it doesn't make them a bad person. We have to question the origins of these things or else it's the blind sheep leading the weak through the valley of the blind.

women sometimes say how a guy dances is an indication of how he has sex.
if hes recreationally dancing, chances are he doesnt have sex with vaginas anyway.

I take ballet classes and I'm convinced that ballet was designed specifically to be as difficult as possible. Every motion is that at which your body meets the most resistence. It's like the physical manifestation of math, just there to be difficult.
I also take Jazz sometimes and we dance to mostly Fosse musical songs. I suck at that too but I blame the teacher for changing her mind every 5 seconds and saying "Okay we go out in, out, change, no no...okay CHANGE out, in, and, okay, we go step, step 1-2-3 CHANGE, okay....no wait first change THEN step...." and so on
I once took a swing dance class with an engaged man so he could learn to dance for his wedding and surprise his wife. It was the makings of a romantic comedy.

It was probably the women in the USO who said things like that, about dancing and sex, about the soldiers, because they danced WITH each other not like dancing is now on the rap videos. They stepped in time and held onto each other's bodies while they moved and I think they might have been right. I never knew until I tried partner dancing, how important a good partner is. They make you a better dancer. Although most of that is simply knowing the steps, there's a big difference between a partner who is responsive and one who isn't.
In the Swing class I took, we changed partners all the time to get used to dancing with different people (plus it was in keeping with the tradition of SWINGING you know, changing sexual partners and married couples going out and dancing with each other) and a few times I danced with some guys who sucked, no variety in their steps no twirling, and they didn't even look at me they just kept their eyes on their wives across the room dancing with someone else. I don't think I would have enjoyed sex with them. So you see there's some truth to it.

Yeah, ballet is tough. I took for just one session and eesh! I really sucked at it. I'm not a delicate, graceful, etc dancer. I took Jazz for a while, and liked that a lot. Took some hip hop/break classes, and I LOVED them so much. I liked tap a lot when I was in it. I also did some ballet folklorico.
I still want to take Flamenco, and probably anything else that's out there.
I addicted to dance :( (too much booty in the pants).

The better you get, the more you think you're terrible, because you can never be good enough. It is an impossible art and even the best have to struggle and kill themselves to be good. It's exhausting but for some reason I find its impossibility reassuring. There's no end in sight, it is a struggle by nature and the point of it is to do something difficult. This always happens to me! I get involved in something and it becomes a challenge and I have to get better and it's tough. I want a hobby that's easy, just a release. I guess that's this board.
(disclaimer: not that I am a good ballet dancer by any means. I can't even afford to take proper classes. I took it in college and now I only go once a week, it's a joke. I don't have authority to talk about ballet like I am, this is just what I've learned so far, what I've gotten out of it as a beginner)

Well, at least you are in to something you find challenging. Not many people can say that. Most take the easy road and stick to things that aren't difficult for them. I applaud you.

I don't know, when I go out, I dance, and all other men dance too. And I don't go to gaybars. Well, I did once. But that's not the point. Ok if you must know I was with gay people and we went to a gaybar. But I'm not gay, I swear. Point is, I dance recreationally and I have sex with vaginas, well actually I don't but I think about it a lot, I mean I have had sex with vaginas before but right now I'm not having any sex with any vaginas right now. I have had sex with other things then vaginas too, like mouths. I've had sex with mouths. Only women's mouths though, no men's mouths.
...I'm not gay I swear.

You are European so the man dance rules are different, Avignon, Synch, and I discussed this in a thread before I know, it's all in relation to your penis energy and which direction it flows and it's reflected in major architectural styles.

I took swing lessons and enjoyed them very much. Problem is, there aren't that many places to swing and if you find them, the dance floor is the size of a stamp and filled with people who have been swing dancing for 70 years and you don't even want to kid yourself that you can hang with that throwing up in the air, twirling around the ankle, nice hat action.

The Euro guys here are probably the best dancers. They have less to lose so naturally have fewer inhibitions.

in 1984 i learned to breakdance. since that time i haven't learned any moves to replace them. if i only continued to break dance everyday since then, i'd probably be like all sponsored and professional and shit pop locking and rocking in the back of an r kelly video.
i busted out a fat windmill and some floor work at a wedding wearing a suit in 1997. i've got 5-7 mins on someone's wedding video i barely know.
