what is the worst thing your BF/GF's family could do/has done when you first meet?

I was just wondering. The only exsperiance I've had was good. they liked me, said I was cute. My family on the other hand is terrible, they even went so far as to tell him I actually hated him and i was just with him for the hell of it.

For example of my family at thier worst, my cousin Lara flew her boyfriend in from New York to spend Xmas with her. His name was Mark, my family kept calling Him Billy Bob Joe. (If im lyin, im dyin. Its the truth, I swear)
My family told Lara that they didnt like the dude, and on Christmas eve she sent him packing and strait to a hotel. telling him they were breaking up and he should catch a flight home the next day.

horrible, right??

I just needed some idea for this.. thing im doing... and i was wondering if you guys had any intresting stories or ideas to tell.

Worst I've experienced is that Dan's mom thinks Holland is some kind of 3rd world country....

"Do they have minced meat in Holland?"
(Ehm, yes. We have cows. Loads of em...duh!)
But she's really sweet actually.

Stories I heard from other people:
A girl came over to her boyfriends house to meet the parents for the first time. She was wearing converse shoes, a bit worn out.
The dad immediatly thought she was poor and offered her some money to buy new shoes. Nice, but embarassing.
