I saw Quadrophenia yesterday

So,I think is the greatest movie ever seen.Very very better than my other "favourites" movies of the Beatles or others. (y)

Everyone's gotta see the movie at some point -- if just for Sting looking silly. I loved the guy who played the lead and it was fun to watch, but it's not a great movie. Probably the best movie Sting was ever in though. :)

I still can't believe what Leslie Ash has been through since. For me at the time, she just nailed the stereotypical British lass of the era.

I like the movie soundtrack better than the original Who album, btw. It was one of my favorite records as a teen.

Lock Stock fans: why do you like it? Because I'm a huge fan of the genre and I really wanted to like it but I think it was a solid "C".

I think that people have been wanting a good crime movie for so long, and particularly something that's not a big American movie, that the hype exceeded the movie.

It took me 20 minutes of Quadrophenia to understand the accents. Were there subtitles for Futterman?

Which reminds me, I found the subtitle feature for The Office DVD series. Made our lives so much easier. Damn accents!

Its all about the ending. Everything converges, everyone dies but somehow these idiotic young lads escape unharmed. And the characters are just brilliant. Vinnie Jones' character is legendary. Plus the dope growing guys have some great lines

Winston: You went out six hours to buy a money counter and you come back with a semi-conscious Gloria and a back of fertilizer. Alarm bells are ringing Willie.
Willie: We need fertilizer Winston.
Winston: Mmmhmm. We also need a money counter. This money's got to be out by Thursday, I'm buggered if I'm gonna count it. Just make sure if you do need to buy sodding fertilizer could be a bit more subtle.
Willie: What do you mean?
Winston: We grow copious amounts of ganja, yah. And you're carrying a wasted girl and a bag of fertilizer. You don't look like your average horti-fucking- culturalist! That's what I mean Willie.
Although Snatch was probably better :)
