We kill a lot of back packers.

It's somewhat of a rite of passage here. You'll be with your friends, all ashamed and shit, and then the least likely one to admit it does just that. And the palpable relief you feel knowing that what you're doing is normal and not some kind of sickness.....

Oh, wait a second....

Only British backpackers get killed. Usually by that Ivan Millat fellow. I dont know why, I guess its because we have a high proportion of weirdos wandering the bush looking for hitchhikers/stupid tourists broken down in the desert. If you were smart you would hire a guide, or just get some Aussies (normal ones) to come with you. Just pay them in beer (y)

Ivor Milat needs a reality show, like Today Today said. I think it was taking your average reality T.V show contestant and heving them kidnapped by Milat and forced to escape and run for their lives.

That show (Today Today) is grand. A grand old fucking hoot. And it's on the radio, so fuck you Channels 7, 9, and 10.

Today Today???

On triple j, it's a hoot, for the most part.(I like that, because it implies that while I like the show, I've been pissed off with it enough in the past to acknowledge it flaws, just to keep it in check.) (y)

Look it up yourself you lazy bum..ohh what the hell here you go

http://www.thecrimeweb.com/ivan_milat1.htm

There was also an excellent tv program on his family, who still insist he is innocent. The transcript and a summary can be found here (http://www.abc.net.au/austory/content/2004/s1236866.htm)

Basically the police try to tie almost any murder anywhere near where he has lived to him. For good reason. But hes not the worst killer. Martin Bryant was the worst, he opened fire at Port Arthur, which is in Tasmania, and is a closed prison thats now a tourist site.
Quote from http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial/bryant/
"In a period of just over nineteen hours, Martin Bryant, a man described by locals as being "a quiet lad and a bit of a loner," had killed thirty-five men, women and children and wounded another eighteen making him the most notorious spree killer of all time."

And most of those were in the space of a few minutes :(
