I can't resist kids who sell lemonade at stands. With their home-made signs and tables and really it's just kool-aid. I'll buy it and pretend to drink it because it's usually shit and also pretend not to have change and give them bills just to watch their expression. I'm a junkie for that. I sometimes walk around here just looking for them. I know the best spots.

My friends say that those kids are just enterprising & greedy but my friends also suck at being compassionate.

And yes, lemonade--the real stuff--is good but it's hard to find that real stuff now.

I go to the Kentucky Sate Fair every year just for the lemonade. The real stuff.
I had one of those stands when I was little and a car drove past, slowed down, and threw a bunch of change out the window at me. I picked it all up and it was almost five bucks! I bought Cinderella paper dolls with it. And I still have no pride.

Sprite, or schweppes lemonade is what Australians would call lemonade. Carbonated traditional sorta lemonade (as in with lemons and sugar) is what we would call lemon squash. The most common lemon squash drink is Lift. We would call the lemonade you guys are talking about Lemon Cordial probably. Just to clear that up. :)

And Mcmac, I'm pretty sure kool-aid is just like powdered cordial, like those sachets of powdered cordial you can take on school camps and stuff (we used to drink one called vita something or another, it was pretty good (y))

While I was in the army, my platoon was doing training out in the field. We were being attacked by the fake enemy (opfor) and this stupid guy in my platoon walked over to me in the middle of the action and said, "hey Sgt Smith, you know what's good when you're thirsty?.......Lemonade".
