Do you have a common name?
Have you googled it along with your city to see what comes up?

There are several people in my city with my same first and last name.
One of them is a reporter for our local paper. My friends make fun of me for that.

But there are several people in my city who have my exact name (first name, middle initial/name, last name).

There's a woman with my exact name buried at the cemetary where I run.

There's a woman with my exact name who runs the same road races that I do, but she's in a different age group.

And I just found out that another woman with my exact name goes to my doctor. I found this out when my doctor called me with her test results. (!)

What about you?

My name is very close to that of an actress. Besides that it's only medium common and people often mispell my first name. But more and more people are giving it to their children, often with some atrocious phonetic perversion.

I googled name and town but no results.

My first name is common now but with different spellings.

My middle name is common.

My surname (married name) is common. My maiden name...a little less common.

No, since there's so many people with my name I'm just gonna say it, Michelle Elizabeth Payne. I know I shouldn't say my name on the internet but I don't care. :D My dad was gonna change his last name to Reitz after his grandfather because he hates his father, so don't make fun of my last name. :o

Patrick is not very common.
I grew up in a predominantly Irish neighborhood.
Patrick was buried somewhere in just about every boy's name.
Most boys whose first names were Patrick wound up calling themselves by their middle name, which was usually Daniel or Michael. :)

I get it and I really don't care if you do.I wish I didn't get it, but I read Vibe last month, so I do. I'm street, yo!

Yeah, my first name is really common -- most common name? I used to think my last name wasn't common, but it is. Many immigrants had their names shortened when they immigrated to the US and -- viola -- they got my name. My family name was shortened, too. Assimilation rules!

There is someone with the same name as I who has skipped out on college loans and tax bills. I've gotten collection calls for him. I also used to get collect calls from Japan for him, years ago, at like 3 in the am -- luckily, it was in my party days, so I was probably up already.

Anyways, I'm Diana Lynn. My last name means "field" in Finnish (their last names are geographical usually), so it's not very common. I googled my first and last name and only came up on one John Kerry petition, under a very obscure search engine. What kind of Finnish do you know? I have never heard lynn in Finnish language, and I have spoken it for 45 years (well, almost, the first years were maybe more goo goo). It does sound more Norwegian tho'.

My first name is quite common in my agegroup and there was quite a few in here in Stockholm as well. The most famous is one really good photographer. When I used this darkroom at some sort of community center people thought I was her when I did the bookings with my first name only. When I google both first and last name I only find loads of me, someone who did a childrens Christmas calendar on the telly once and one dancer from the town I was born in. My last name is really common in there, takes several pages on local the phonebook, here it's just less than 10 cm.

My first name is not entirely uncommon, but I was given the less-commonly used spelling variant. In it's more common spelling, though, it could also be a boy's name, or even a fairly common surname.

My middle name is very common, especially here in England.

My surname is both a common last name, and a not-uncommon first name for a boy.

I've only ever found one person by googling though with my same name, not including the middle initial. She's a realtor somewhere in Illinois, I think.

My entire maiden name was pretty common. My parent's don't exactly get the originality award for naming their daughter Jennifer in the 70's. Once, before I was married, I went to the DMV to get my license switched from FL to VA, and apparently a girl with my exact birthday (one year off) and exact name (first middle and last) had a slew of convictions and had warrants in Miami....they were like "are you SURE you never lived in Miami". It took a couple of hours and verification of SSN to straighten it out.

This is sorta what happened to me with those doctor's results. That other <me> had a series of tests and she apparently needs heart surgery.

After being stunned into absolute silence for maybe 10 seconds after hearing that and thinking that she was talking about me, I was all like FUCK! NO FREAKIN WAY WITH THE EXERCISE I DO!!
